All You Need to Know About CIET Patiala

Overall Rating
The reason I chose CIET Patiala over any other private institutes or colleges is because of its amazing placement record. Another thing that separates it from others is its beautiful campus. Here, we are provided with all the facilities an individual needs in his/her day-to-day life.
 

Academics Rating
The course I enrolled for is Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Sciences. For this course, the eligibility criteria is that a student must have scored more than 60% in class 12th board exams and should have once appeared in JEE examination held twice every year. Exams are held 4 times in every semester consisting of 3 seasonal tests and 1 end semester examination.
The course I chose has a fee of Rs. 1,20,000 per semester making it a total of 9.6 Lakh for whole course. No scholarships are provided and there is no reservation for any category students. The admission requires a basic entry form of Rs. 1,000.
 

Faculty Rating
Almost all faculty members in CIET Patiala are PhD holders. The method of teaching is purely projector based. The faculty here is too supportive and their problem solving abilities are great. The teacher to student ratio is also decent as for every different subjects we have different teachers. Most of the teachers here are perfectly approachable. You can ask them any of your doubts at any time of the day. They are always ready to help us.
 

Placement Rating
The main attraction of Chitkara University is its amazing placement record. In the year 2021, almost 95% of the students were placed. The highest package on campus was 40 Lakh Per Annum. Big names such as Amazon, Microsoft, Capgemini, Nvidia, etc. keep on visiting this university and provide placements every year.
 

Hostel Rating
We are provided with great hostel rooms that include all the basic amenities a student needs. Yes, the boy’s hostel is separated from the girl’s hostel. The only drawback is the mess food as the quality is not up to the mark. I hope it gets improved in the coming years. The hostel fee varies all the way from Rs. 67,000 per semester to Rs. 1,26,000 per semester. The hostel timings are from 6 AM in the morning till midnight.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is great. The campus consists of all the basic facilities a student needs and has a wide range of side activities to keep the students engaged. A vast range of sports facilities like football grounds, snooker tables, foosballs basketball courts, badminton courts, cricket ground, pool and a well-equipped gym. It also has 2 libraries with one being a major library to issue all the books and journals and other being a secondary library to play a role for students to study. We have a lot of food outlets from Domino’s to Keventers.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus experience is great. We get almost everything we ask for, the faculty is great, the subjects are limited. Regular club events are held by both faculties and students. The college crowd is also decent and diverse coming from almost not only all parts of India but also from different parts of the world. Fests are held almost every month to keep the students entertained.

    It is a decent institute with good infrastructure and better educational services. Personally, I joined this institute as it had better placement records than other private institutes nearby.
