SR University from the Eyes of Freshmen

Overall Rating
I like the green atmosphere around my university, SR University. You see you will find the trees everywhere. The cultural clubs are very active here. The interactions with other individuals help students to showcase their talent. Every year placements are giving by our university. An average CTC of Rs. 5,00,000 per year is given during placements here. The faculty is the most experienced in our university. Most of them are the ones who have studied from top institutions in India. They also have great teaching skills and methods.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Civil Engineering course, because I have lot of interest in construction. There is only one exam conducted by Telangana government for entry in all the engineering institutes and colleges of the country. You have to submit your pass out memos and other required documents for admission. There are exams in every month i.e. (class tests, mid exams and semester exam). These exams prepare us well for the real life challenges in life. The exams are conducted in the open book the type for senior students. We can easily pass if we study the exam. Every curriculum is relevant to our course.
I have not paid any fee, because I am from Government JR University. There is a scheme for the students of this university where they do not have to pay the fee as all of that is managed by Government of Telangana. My friends pay Rs. 1,20,000 for one year for this course. There may or may not be a chance of fee concession for meritorious students. Yes, other scholarships are available here.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties come and teach in the class. Further, they ask questions to test activeness of the students in the class. All of our teachers are friendly while teaching and giving guidance. I like their way of teaching. Some teachers do have great knowledge but they can improve their way of teaching style. The exams for the freshers are not much difficult.
 

Placement Rating
The highest package given to the student during placement session in our university is 56 Lakh Per Annum. Form 6th semester onwards, you are eligible for campus placements. IBM, Microsoft, Ultratech, and Byju’s are the most active companies visiting in our campus. Every year, 1000+ placements are given in our campus. 67% of students are getting placements My plans after getting the degree is to get prepare for UPSC exams.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, SR University has hostels. There is free Wi-Fi in the hostel. Rooms have basic living amenities for the students such as rack, bed, study table, etc. Meal provided in our hostel is tasty and healthy. The serving staff maintains cleanliness while serving. There is proper menu here. You have to pay 1st semester hostel fee money to the hostel management and submit your documents & details to avail the hostel facilities. The hostel is quite expensive but it is worth it, if we look at the quality of facilities in hostels (Rs. 1,00,000).
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus has four blocks, each represent different core subject courses. Our infrastructure is very unique. I think our university is expanded in 200 to 300 acres. The green trees all around make the environment very pleasant. Our library has various types of books for students. There are projectors and Wi-Fi in our classrooms. Labs, auditorium, etc. have their own significance and are maintained neatly. Canteen is expensive, but it is up to the mark. Sports facilities are well managed here. Transportation for students is very good. My favorite place is canteen.
 

Campus Rating
‘Spectra’ is one of the recently held events in SR University. Management is mostly interested in conducting sports and extracurricular activities in the campus. Most of the students are participating in the clubs offered by the university. Our student’s portal is most active.

It conducts many extracurricular activities and also very good at campus placements. It also has hostel facilities with decent hostels and decent food.     My overall experience in SR University is pretty good. The infrastructure and the environment in the university seemed very good. I choose this university because it has a good NIRF ranking and is one of the top engineering institutions in Telangana.     Overall Rating
    Our college got 91 ranks in NIRF it's a private university where most of the people get placed in most famous multinational companies. We even have dual degree programs in our college. It's well infrastructure and the management provide lots and lots of facilities. Apart from studies management also encourages sports and other activities like dance, music, painting, photography and many more. It also provides NCC training.... Read Full Review

    SR University is developing college which was formally called as SR Engineering College. Before when it was an Engineering College there are very less facilities in this college but now this is one of the best colleges in Telangana. The college is in over 150 acres where we can find very beautiful blocks built differently for different branches.
