Glimpse of JIAR Jammu: Admissions, Fees, & Course Structure

Overall Rating
JIAR is a great option in J&K for BAMS degree. I got this institute through NEET counseling. The infrastructure of the institute is good. The faculty is also great. It is located far from the city. It is present in a good environment. The degree is great on its own as we learn about ancient science of medicine and how to treat patient using natural herbs.
 

Academics Rating
I am pursuing BAMS from this institute. Therefore, there is a NEET exam that is held every year. After giving NEET, according to your score, the institute is allotted. Admission is easy. The whole degree is of 5.5 year that includes 1-year internship. 4.5 years of studying here is divided into 3 professional courses. Each professional course is of 1.5 year. Different assignments, projects, and PPTs are given to the students.
The fee for the first year is around 2.6 to 2.7 LPA. The fee for remaining years is Rs. 1,95,000. There is government-funded scholarship ST category students with low income.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of JIAR Jammu is great. All the teachers have high educational background and have done MD. They are good and also great mentors. Every department has at least 3 to 4 teachers. There are different teachers with different backgrounds that are in our institute. Teachers from all over India and from different regions are teaching here.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are not available in this course.
 

Hostel Rating
Girl’s hostels and boy’s hostels are separated. The hostels cover a large area. Mess is also great here and has a variety of food options (vegetarian). Timing for hostel is from 6 AM to 7 PM in the evening. After that, gates are closed.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of JIAR Jammu is good. The campus is good and has a great environment. There are different buildings for different departments. Library, labs, and all the other academic facilities are present here. Canteen is also there for the students. There are also lush green parks and grounds. Campus size and locality is also good.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is not much crowded. There are fests that happen every year. there is one cultural fest and one sports fest. Different sports events are also organized by the institute. These events are organized well. Different camps are also held in the local area.
