RPCAU Samastipur: A Center of Quality Education for Agriculture

Overall Rating
Talking about overall experience in RPCAU Samastipur, it is good. I always wanted to do something in Agricultural field as I come from farming family. Due to my keen interest in this field, I chose this one that is one of the best universities for Agricultural Engineering. The faculty in this university is the best.
 

Academics Rating
Talking about academics, they are excellent. Here both theory and practical classes are quite good. Candidate who are appearing or passed 12th are eligible for the exam called ICAR CUET. Through ICAR CUET, you can take admission in this university. Talking about exam pattern, there are two exams i.e. mid and end term in each semester. Mid semester is of 30 marks and end is of 50 marks. 20 marks are for internals and to pass the semester you have to score minimum 50 marks.
Fee structure of this course is quite affordable. The fee structure of every odd semester is Rs. 16,250 and for even semester, it is Rs. 15,050. So every year, you have to pay Rs. 31,300. For SC and ST category students, there is relaxation of Rs. 3,000. Talking about scholarship, there is NTS by ICAR, which is Rs. 3,000 per month, but you have to maintain 7 CGPA.
 

Faculty Rating
Talking about faculty members, they are best. They are well qualified mostly are PhD holders from top institutions like IITs. They have published multiple research papers. The professors here teach us both on whiteboard and PPTs. The teacher and students ratio is 1:12. They are always ready to help whether it is academically or non-academically. The professors also help in Competitive exam preparation like GATE and others. Our university also has a top ranker i.e. AIR 1 in GATE 2023.
 

Placement Rating
Talking about placement, RPCAU Samastipur is good but here mostly students pursue higher studies through GATE or CAT. But yes, students crack placement with average package around 4 LPA. There is also placement cell in our university. The company visit in our university is TAFE, Mahindra, DeHaat, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is the best thing in our university. They are completely new with all the basic facilities available like Electricity, inverter, Wi-Fi, Geyser, Volleyball court, TT, etc. For safety, there is guard. For medical emergency, there is first aid kit. Girl’s hostel and boy’s hostel are separate. In timing for hostel is 8 PM at night. Mess food is okay. Hostel fee is around Rs. 1,600 per year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of RPCAU Samastipur is best. The view is very good here. There is Library, Sports Complex, Canteen, shopping complex, Auditorium, etc. Parks are the best part of this university. Saraswati garden, Biodiversity Park, Titli Park, and T3 Park are few to mention. You can also visit Riverfront. Classroom size is 44 students per batch. You can also visit Pusa, which is near the university.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is good being an Agricultural University. Every year, there is huge gathering in Kisan Mela. Talking about my fest it is called ‘Vristi’. Talking about clubs there is cultural club and entrepreneurship club called E-cell Pusa. I am part of E-cell Pusa. Every year, different festivals of different states are celebrated here. Students participate in huge numbers. It is also one of the best in country.
