IITK A Great College

Overall Rating
IIT Kanpur is a great college to be in as a student. I am glad that I was admitted here. It’s a college with lush green campus and great facilities. If you want a good college, surely IITK is a great choice for any student who wants to explore his/her interests and is interested in doing serious research.
 

Academics Rating
Most of us think that we have to study on our own in college but here at IIT Kanpur Professors ensure that every amount of effort is taken to make students understand the course. The research facilities and opportunities at IIT Kanpur are quite diverse and developed. We have an entire Students’ Gymkhana for all the extra-curricular activities you can dream of.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties at IIT Kanpur are really qualified. There are professors with huge amount of experience. PhD students are also allotted as tutors to UG students. Every amount of effort is taken by all faculties to help students during the course. Different Professors have got different teaching methods.
 

Placement Rating
Yes we have placement cell at our Institute. Yes it helps students IITK has got nice placements. The highest package this year was over Rs. 4 crores. Huge number of PPOs and international offers were made.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes IIT Kanpur has got residential facilities. We have got hostels in the form of halls. Hostel life is fun. Our halls have got Study room, TT room and TV room.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is nice with excellent facilities. The college has got lecture hall complexes and tutorial blocks. There is also study lounge where students can study 24*7. There are different buildings for each department. Also the campus has got a huge library with large amounts of books. For most of the sports, there are multiple facilities as well.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life at IITK is really awesome. The crowd here is intelligent. Here you can find people of all kinds and get to learn from them. There are various clubs in the college. There are also fests organised here like Techkriti, Udghosh and Antaragni. Throughout your time in the campus, you can experience and participate in various activities being organised here.

    Although I don't like every aspect of the college due to its geographical location, the food, climate, hall facilities, etc., my overall experience in this college is good. It doesn't meet my expectations I had before coming to college in some respects. We are unaware of many clubs and activities which we are unable to know properly through any organised platform....     I have good experience in IIT Kanpur as it provides very good opportunity to study. I choose this particular institute because this is the only college which has its own airstrip. This provides a very good opportunity for Aerospace Engineering. One more reason is that IIT Kanpur is the first institute which provided Computer Science Engineering classes... Read Full Review

    Overall Rating
    The overall experience of IIT Kanpur is good. Although currently I am a second year UG student at IIT Kanpur, but whatever I know it is quite good as compare to other IITs. The rooms in IIT Kanpur are not good. Water supply is not good, you will not find water everywhere in the campus sometimes you have to search it.
