B.Tech CSE at AVV Coimbatore

AVV Coimbatore is a good and reputed university. It not only gives preference to academics it also gives preference to sports as well. The main reason I chose this university was placement but due to Covid, placement is less but after few years. It conducts many events and celebrates many festivals. We are also taught about meditation and so on.

The course I chose is B.Tech CSE (Computer Science & Engineering) The main reason I chose this course is that it provides job opportunities in future. 60% in boards and minimum 6 CGPA in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Mostly, admission will open in year-end and we can apply through AEEE or JEE.

There are 3 slabs for scholarship and one for non-scholarship. For scholarship category, we need to maintain a specific CGPA to pay scholarship fee. The lower the CGPA, higher the fee.

The faculty in AVV Coimbatore is well qualified and educated. They are kind and friendly with everyone and they do not show partiality. They clear our doubts immediately and teach very well. Most of them are from Kerala and Tamil Nadu. They teach using PPTs, board and also through online mode. There are many teachers in the university. The teachers are kind and friendly. They guide students very well. They even ask students to take seminars on certain topics.

The campus has 4 academic blocks and they are named as AB1 for Chemical, Mechanical courses, AB2 for Electrical & Electronics based courses, AB3 for school of Computing and AB4 for Artificial Intelligence. There is one library, one clinic with good doctor, three canteens, two gyms for boys, one gym for girls, and Pharmacy in the campus. There is one swimming pool with lifeguards. My favorite thing in the university is playing football with friends at evening with the view of mountain.

Life at Amrita is good and pleasant. The university has huge crowd especially at event and festival times. The university has a big tech event named Anokha. In this event, there will be concerts with big celebrities and food stalls where variety of food is sold. There are many clubs in the university for education purpose, cultural purpose and also for sports and tech. The university conducts intramurals competition every year and also staff tournament. There will be intercampus competition where all the students of the students play.
