Admission Process at IEHE Bhopal

So today, I am going to tell my experience in IEHE Bhopal. So I did my Bachelor's in Psychology from this institute. So if we talk about academics, they are really great in this institute. Professors of Psychology department are really supportive and sweet as compared to other departments. Exams and results are always on time. This institute strictly follows the tentative academic calendar. It is mandatory in this institute to maintain minimum 75% attendance. You will get PL, if you are participating in the institute fest or competition and 15% attendance for medical reasons. The seniors are also very helpful. There are also many clubs in this institute, which gives you the platform to display your talents and skills. I personally chose this institute because Psychology department here is really good and also teachers actually teach here unlike other private institutes.

I had chosen BA Psychology, as I wanted to become Clinical Psychologist and pursue Psychology, as my career as I was very much fascinated by the subject. I got admission based on merit and my 12th percentage. Cut off is different for different departments and changes every year. I had 88% marks in my 12th and I was from Science stream. As that time, cut off was 80%. For department like Sociology, it goes as low as 60, so it depends upon the subject. Admission process is also simple. Firstly, you have to fill the admission form and fill the details correctly later they will release the list. After that, document verification is done. List of final students is released and from July, the semester starts. You will have 3 tests for your major minor and generic subjects, out of which marks of top 2 will be counted and then you will have your semester exams. Everything is done timely, so there is no delay in exams and results. Depending upon your subject practicals are also been done. And also for more exposure, teachers take you out to places like hospital or NGOs.

Normally, the fee for different courses is different. For me it was Rs. 23,000. Since I was a meritorious student, I took admission through Medhavi scholarship so I did not had to pay any fee. If you fill for Medhavi scholarship or OBC scholarship, you do not have to pay the fee. You just have to fill the form when it will be asked to you. The eligibility for Medhavi scholarship is simple you need to get above 75 percent if you are from MP board. For OBC, scholarship you will have to pay the fee but it will be refunded to your bank account. You can be only eligible for 1 scholarship in this institute.

Teachers are changed every year and teachers from my department are awesome. They really Teach well are supportive and really understanding. Most of the professors have done their PhD and the ones who are left are either assistant professor or guest faculty. They are really knowledgeable and have practical knowledge. Teachers generally adopt different teaching techniques like projectors, group discussion, debate, etc. Teachers are really call and present minded so when it comes to problem solving they are really efficient. The ratio is also good, like there are enough teachers in every department. I personally have a great bond with my teachers.

The placement cell at IEHE Bhopal offers many workshops, focusing on different things that are open for everyone irrespective of department. They also provide internships based on your skills and knowledge. Industrialists do come to our institute for the placement. Our institute also provides many certification courses in every field. Highest package backed was 11 LPA. Even though many students do not take placement from institute because most of them targets higher studies.

IEHE Bhopal does offer hostel facilities for both boys and girls based on merit. After the admission process, it releases a list of students based on 12th marks. Boy’s and girl’s hostels are separate but is in the same campus. There are many rules for girls, as they cannot roam in campus after 6 PM. Food quality is ok. Hostel fee is really low so someone with financial problems can think to stay in hostel. There are multiple rules for students.

The best building of the campus is B.Com building. It is really beautiful and you can get the top view from the 4th floor. It also has lift in the building. It is known as Aryabhatta bhawan. The science building known as Nagarjuna bhawan and arts building known as Kautilya Bhavan. The campus is not that big but it is enough. It is situated in midst of jungle area so it is really beautiful. Classroom are big enough to accommodate 55 students at a time. It has some seminar halls and library from where you can issue books. It has sports complex where you can play and it also has a gym area. It has 2 canteens.

Campus life is not that extraordinary but it above average. If you know how to use and grab opportunities, you will eventually grow. There are many clubs and I am part of 4 clubs. They organize different extracurricular activities regularly, which keeps me occupied. They also conduct much competition, which gives me motivation to thrive for best. There is a fest named Tarang, which is conducted once in a year, and it provides a wide stage to display your talents. It is of 3 days. It also conducts academic fest of 2 days, which is full of fun thrill and opportunities.
