Outlook of IIIT Allahabad from the Lens of Future Engineer

Overall Rating
Overall, my experience has been good so far. The academic schedule is very hectic. Every week, quizzes are conducted by professor. Then there are mid sem exams and then at last, there are end sem exams. Students are engaged in the studies for more of the time in the campus. Factors that made me to chose this institute is placement rate and quality coding culture.
 

Academics Rating
i have chosen electronics and communication branch here . if you are targeting IIIT allahabad then you have to secure atleast 99 percentile in jee main exam . then have to participate in jossa and csab councelling by which college allotment process are done on the bases of jee mains rank . here in every semester there are two main exam conducted like mid sem and end sem and before mid sem quizzes are conducted .
Fee that has to pay is around 1.5 Lakh per semester. It includes all the charges such as mess, hostel, and some other additional charges. ST and SC category student have to pay only Rs. 19,000 per semester.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are not up to the mark but some are very well educated in their field of subject. Some faculties are done PhD from IITs in India while some of them are from foreign universities. Their methods of teaching are not so good. Teacher to student ratio is around 1:30, which means there is 1 teacher for 30 students.
 

Placement Rating
As mentioned earlier, one of the main reasons to choose this institute was its placements. This means that the quality of placements provided by the institute is top notch. Many good companies come here to recruit the students.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the institute provides hostel facilities to the students. These hostels are well equipped with basic living amenities. Hostel & mess fee is mentioned above. There is night canteen in every hostel that is open run until midnight every day. They provide good food and are affordable.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of IIIT Allahabad is good. Some buildings are designed very well and have good facilities. Campus size is around 100 acre and locality is also decent but could have been better. Classrooms are average but they need to refurbished and installation of modern equipment. An academies facility such as library is good to study in the exam time having nice environment. It also has a good collection of books.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is average. Crowd is not so much because of having only three branches in B.Tech here. There are many clubs for extracurricular activities. Some of these clubs are sports club, music club, dance club, etc. and are run in student activities room. There is annual fest, which held in the month of November every year, which goes one, furls 5 days. In these days, there are no classes.

    IIIT Allahabad is the only IIIT in the country which is fully under government as other IIIT's are either semi government or private. IIIT Allahabad is one of best in the country not only because it boasts the extraordinary placements but also because it has an excellent coding culture.
