Inside RGUKT Basar Nirmal: Student’s Experience

Overall Rating
RGUKT Basar Nirmal is a good university to study B.Tech. We can go for hackathons and participate to improve our skills. It helps to get placement in final year with a good package. One can get good GATE ranks With proper guidelines. Students can participate in national level games. Students have to do mini project, major project, and summer intern. There is good alumni support for the university. There are many winners in national level games.
 

Academics Rating
It is a six year integrated course, which is having 2 years of pre-university course (PUC) and 4 years of graduation (B.Tech). In PUC, student can get knowledge in core subjects like Math, Physics, and Chemistry and appear for JEE entrance exam. In B.Tech, a student can take branches like CSE, ECE, MECH CIVIL, Chemical, and MME. I have taken CSE branch. Requirements to get CSE branch is grade greater than 9.7 for general category. In PUC, there are 4 semesters and in B.Tech, there are 8 semesters.
Scholarships are given for financially backward students and who are eligible for scholarships by government. Any government employee students or any above poverty line (APL) students have to pay university fee and mess fee. Mess fee is Rs. 10,000. Fee for PUC students is Rs. 45,000 and a B.Tech student is Rs. 50,000.
 

Faculty Rating
Maximum faculty of RGUKT Basar Nirmal is from M.Tech background in popular IITs in specific fields. They use white board, Ppts, and keep group discussions whenever required. Some faculty members are friendly with students. If students approach the faculty for any doubt, they will clarify it clearly. For gate aspirants they have provided test series for practice and time management. For every 60 students there is one teacher. For mini project, there is a guide for some 5 teams. For each team there are 5 students.
 

Placement Rating
Maximum seniors are placed in companies. In some branches, there is 100% placement rate. There is placement cell. It conducts skill tests and filters the students for placements. EdTech, Tech Vedhika, etc. visited our university offering minimum of 5 LPA package.
 

Hostel Rating
RGUKT Basar Nirmal offers residential facilities. There are upto 500 rooms available for girls and boys separately. In each room, 6 students stay. There are 2 fans, 4 tube lights, 6 charger ports, and 6 cots are available in each room. Mess code is hygienic. It provides 3 meals a day along with evening snacks.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have 6 dining halls for students with good menu. There is a food court with basic prices. There are 2 to 3 shops for stationary and for basic needs. We have a yogasala, SBI bank, post office, police station, etc. in the campus premises for the students. There 3 to 4 grounds for playing games. 2 seminar halls can accommodate 1000 students at a time. There is an electrical substation for power supply. In a class 60 students can sit. There were proper lights and fans for every classroom.
 

Campus Rating
There are many clubs in the university like SDCAC, Student MITRE, Helping Hands, etc. For every festival and important days, these organizations come up with different events and give prizes for winners. For last year students, there will be farewell function and everyone enjoy a lot there. Many games such as cricket, kabaddi, badminton, etc. are conducted department wise. It is good to participate in any of the events or to organize any events to develop communication skills.

    The students are selected by GPA scored in 10th. It mainly encourages students from government schools and rural background to pursue an integrated B.Tech which is provided here. When matter comes about the facilities then it is best of all state colleges as laptops, uniforms, lab shoes, etc. are provided in the first year of engineering.... Read Full Review
