Honestly, I wasn't satisfied with the colleges I was required to go after clearing JEE Advanced with a decent rank (others believe it was good). My options were non-core branches at 2nd and 3rd generation IITs and core branches at 1st generation IITs. I was unsure of which IIT or branch to choose, but I knew that I would choose a branch over a college. As a result, my options were reduced to 2nd and 3rd generation IITs. Now, as anyone would prefer, I selected the 2nd Generation IITs, and my options were now limited to the 2nd Generation IITs.

I looked up all of these IITs on Google and was attracted to IIT Jodhpur because it had all the standards I was looking for. In fact, in the most recent tech inter IIT, IIT Jodhpur came first among all of those 2nd and 3rd Gen inter IITs, and everyone talked about how quickly it was expanding at the time. Other considerations, such as single room occupancy, a lovely, soothing campus, extremely good professors, and well-known and reputable placement companies also contributed, and I chose the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science branch in IIT Jodhpur. After a year, I got my branch changed to CSE, and right now I am very satisfied overall and don't regret my decision. If you are reading this review and your case is similar to mine then I would advise you to go for IIT Jodhpur and I hope you will not regret your decision later :)

You may trust me on the academics part since, as I mentioned in the overall review, I am a branch changer and had my branch changed from AiDe to CSE by maintaining a good CG, being also very engaged on my co-curricular activities. Currently a B. Tech. CSE student at IIT Jodhpur, I can tell you that academics are not particularly challenging there, but you also cannot take them lightly. You will need to work hard throughout the semester to maintain a good CG (by good CG, I mean an 8 pointer), and if you want to change your branch, you will need to work even harder due to the heavy competition and the challenging branch changing criterion.

While there are still some requirements, such as that only 5 percent of students in a particular branch can get their branch changed, it keep changing year after year, so it would be difficult to say for subsequent years, but all students who maintain more than 9 pointer after their entire first year (considering both semesters) have the choice to go in whichever branch they want to. If you clear the mere cutoff for a particular branch, then you get your branch changed. But all I can say is that you can maintain a strong academic record at IIT Jodhpur provided you stay focused and persistent, limit your attention to classes alone, attend those on a regular basis, and give your quizzes, minors, and majors your all. I shall mention the well-known, extremely knowledgeable, and amiable instructors at IITJ in my subsequent review.

I'm happy to say that practically all of the professors here have backgrounds in high-level professions, a welcoming teaching style, and very student-friendly methods for presenting the content of their courses. The majority of them received their PHDs from prestigious IITs, and their research is conducted in interesting subjects that students can delve into and learn about. It would also be wonderful to know that I am the secretary of the CSE Departmental Society and that, as a result of the activities, I actually know the professors well in person. Trust me when I say that they are always pleased to assist their students and that they genuinely care about them. You can trust the faculty members at IITJ, and you won't be disappointed by them, in my opinion. Although you could occasionally find the lectures to be dull or sleepy, but if you pay close attention, you will discover that they are actually quite knowledgeable.

Yes, we do have a placement cell at IIT Jodhpur. It is called the Career Development Cell here, and it helps to assist students in finding jobs in the industry. The cell offers numerous sessions on personality development, mock interview rounds, and numerous sessions on how to portray yourself completely to the interviewer and secure your seat in your dream company.

It has achieved 100 percent placement records in recent years and aspires to do so in subsequent years too. You can be a part of the cell, if you are a student at IITJ and wish to contribute your work towards it and help the cell in its activities.

Yes, our institute does have residential facilities. More specifically, it would be interesting to let you know that our hostels are named after rainbow colours, specifically VIBGYOR. Each colour has a designated hostel, for example, the hostels for green are G1, G2, G3, and so on. Some hostels haven't even been built yet, but they will be built solely with this theme in mind. The students are given the chance to band together and represent themselves by wearing the colour of the hostel that has been assigned to them.

Detailing, hostels offer single occupancy, AC equipped rooms, hygienic washrooms, daily cleaning services, and are generally clean. Additionally, a weekly laundry service is offered to students who are either unable to wash their own clothes or don't know how to do it. Additionally, each hostel has hostel representatives who can bring any complaints to the board of hostel affairs, which was specifically created to address issues that arise in hostels, for effective resolution.

The first thing that comes to mind when somebody thinks of the IIT in Jodhpur is that it would be in some sort of desert region, covered in sand, without any water, or something similar, but things are different in this situation. You might find it interesting that our IIT has a great wall-like structure around the campus; these are just walls supported by ground and for what they are there, is to protect us from any wind storms that may occur. The structure at IIT Jodhpur makes it completely different and unique from other IITs, and buildings are constructed while taking into account the climate and temperature in Jodhpur using special rocks and special thermo material that protects from extreme temperatures.

Although the library, lecture hall complex, mess, canteen, and many other amenities are all close by, the campus is enormous and spans 852 acres of land, so you can see the potential that IIT Jodhpur offers. Things are being created, and IIT Jodhpur is growing. Every building and structure has top-notch furnishings, air conditioning, and clean restrooms so that no one has a problem anywhere. Finally, I'd like you to look up IIT Jodhpur on Google. You'll be amazed at the pictures of the campus you find there.

What a campus life !! IIT Jodhpur offers excellent campus life, just like any other top IIT would, if you genuinely want to enjoy college. The Entrepreneurship Cell, a programming club, a video editing club, a drama club, a sports society, a photography club, a travelling club, and many more clubs that you can think of are just a few of the clubs available. If you want to start your own club, you can do so by submitting your idea and getting it approved.

IIT Jodhpur also has a number of festivals, whether they are technical, artistic, literary, or entrepreneurial. The delight one can have at our festivals is on another level, and you would learn more deeply by participating in them. For your knowledge, Prometeo, Spandan, Ignus, Aaftaab, and many other well-known IIT Jodhpur events are listed on the institution's website. When it comes to the crowd, there isn't as big of a presence as there is at other IITs, which gives you greater exposure to the things for which there are many other IITs competing.

In conclusion, I would say that if you get enrolled into IIT Jodhpur, you will definitely like campus life and won't look back :)
