Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College: Admission Process and Eligibility

My overall experience was good in Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College. I am interested in banking sector so I choose this course and I easily score well in accountancy subject in 12th standard so I choose this course.

This course was chosen by me because I was interested in banking sector and I know accountancy well. This college was near to my house so I have chosen this college and this course. The eligibility for this college is that the student must need above 60% mark in 12th standard for major courses. The admission process of this college was there are two application forms on Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College’s website for admission. One is for self finance department for Rs. 100 and the one is for AIDED department it is free of cost. The student first fills the form and gives it to the management along with the necessary documents. If the student is eligible for AIDED then he can choose that otherwise he can join self finance department and at the same day the student must pay the first semester fees. this is the admission process of this college. Commonly the college conducts 3 exams per semester most of the exams are easy. The academics of Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College prepared me well for real life challenges.

In first year I paid my tuition fee of Rs. 37,000 and the exam fees was Rs. 1,400. second year I paid Rs. 37,000 tuition fees and Rs. 1,400 as exam fees, and in third year I paid Rs. 38,000 as tuition fees and Rs. 1,500 exam fees. There are no admission fees in this college. Some SC, ST students have special discount in their fees (aided). The scholarships are available for some SC, ST students but I don't know what it is.

There are approximately 600 to 700 faculties in Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College. All staffs are knowledgeable. Faculties in my department are good in teaching and easy to approach. There are PPT and group discussions in every department. The problem solving abilities of faculties are good. The teacher student ratio was good and their relation was good. Every staffs are easy to approach in my department.

The placement was good in Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College during my college time but now the students said that the placement was average in every college but in this college 80% of the students are getting placed in different companies. Many companies visit our college like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, VVDN, Accenture, Flipkart and Amazon. The average salary package was 2LPA and highest package was 8LPA. My experience in placement was good at Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College. I was placed in Infosys company at my college campus and my package was 2.2 LPA.

The Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College has a hostel. The girls and boys hostels are separated and both the hostels have good facilities and safe environment. The hostel food was very average in taste and quality. The hostel fees were approximately Rs. 40,000 – Rs. 50,000. The hostel timing is such that the student must enter the hostel before 7PM.

The campus was good and the campus infrastructure was good. The classroom facility was good. The classroom has projectors and the college has a WI-FI facility as well. The library’s infrastructure was good and library facilities were also good. If the student needs any book he can take it from library. The canteen was good in Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College and there is no medical and transport facility available in this college.

My over all campus life at Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College was good because during my studies the college conducted so many fests and other activities. There are so many clubs in this college like ROTRACT club, I have joined ROTRACT CLUB. During my college days the college has conducted so many festivals like PONGAL celebration, ONAM, etc. but nowadays these much fests and events are not organised in the college.
