My Journey in Bhandarkars Arts and Science College

Overall Rating
My experience in Bhandarkars Arts and Science College was good as a student from other state. I chose this college because there is campus placement. It is one of the oldest institutes in Udupi. It was established in 1969. It offers good surrounding around and is a well maintained. Staff of this college is very friendly and narrative even for the slow learners.
 

Academics Rating
I chose this course because I was interested in finance and wanted to improve my knowledge through this course. Anyone who has passed twelfth from a recognized board is eligible to get entry in the college. For admission in this college, you can apply online or offline making a visit to the campus. There are two internal exams conducted by the college in one semester with a gap of two months in each internal.
Yearly fee of the course is around Rs. 30,000 for one year. You can pay it in two installments like in first installment in one semester and another in second semester.
 

Faculty Rating
In Bhandarkars College, faculties are divided based on their courses. I studied in Commerce department and in commerce department, faculty was prominent in their work. Faculty has a middle class family background. In this college, teaching is done on blackboards and if there is some topic, which cannot be explained, then there are AV halls in college campus. For some topics, there are also group discussions. In this college, there are around 120 teachers and 2,500 students when I completed my education.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is placement cell in the campus. They call companies for hiring the students and prepare students for interview. Top two companies visited college was TCS and Infosys.
 

Hostel Rating
College is only available for girls in the college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has vast infrastructure and academic blocks. Campus contains around 2500 students from degree and around 1000 students of PU. It is situated in Kanakpura. Classrooms seating capacity of each class is of 80 students can sit comfortably. it also has AV halls for PPTs. It also has a separate block for computer science lab and one separate block for library in the college. College has its own conference hall, which holds seating capacity of 3000 members in it. College has its own canteen and campus is surrounded by CCTV cameras around them. College. In college, there are also NCC and Navy.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life was good. There are clubs in the college like sports club, art club, red cross club, etc. I was part of arts club because I was good at drawing. There are many fests are celebrated like commerce fest, science fest , talents day, freshers day, annual college day, and sports day is also celebrated. In campus, there are also blood donation camps in which anyone can donate blood.
