Facilities of IIT Bhubaneswar from Viewpoint of Fresher

Overall Rating
My experience in IIT Bhubaneswar has been really amazing so far. When I entered in to the campus gate, I felt like so excited that from now onwards I am going to study in IIT for next four years. I was amazed to see the main building of the campus. When I came across Student Activity Center, it became my most favorite place in the campus.
 

Academics Rating
I am a Civil Engineering student. I chose this course in this campus rather than Mechanical because I like this branch. Eligibility is to qualify JEE Main first and then you will be shortlisted for JEE Advanced, which is the second toughest exam. Then, you have to crack that exam. Once you cracked then you have take part in JoSAA counseling to complete your admission process. Two exams are held in a semester.
 

Faculty Rating
In first year, all branches have same curriculum. Faculty members are well-trained teachers. All the faculty members are and professors. There is a faculty advisor for every 10 students in the campus. Coming to me my experience, it was very nice with interacting with the faculty members through online or offline.
 

Placement Rating
When it comes to placement, the highest package has been nearly 64 LPA and average package was 5 LPA during the campus drive.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, institute offers the residential facilities to all the students. In these hostels, each student is allotted with separate room. Girl’s hostel and boy’s hostel are separate. When it is about the topic mess food, we have to adjust as the food is mostly average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
In campus, academic blocks are very nice built. Nearly 60 students can be seated at a time in each class. There are lecture halls as well. There is library facility and it is situated in the Main building of the campus. IIT Bhubaneswar is also focused on the sports facilities and medical issues. My favorite part of the infrastructure is the institute is the sports building as it is called Student Activity Center.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life is nice and satisfactory. About the crowd in the institute, it is really huge. You will see people roaming around in the campus even during mid night. There are socio cultural clubs and tech clubs. These clubs help students to their hidden talent and enhance their personality. Personally, i am interesting in cinema and acting so I chose to be part of the club related to these things. There is NSS, NSO, and NCC to organize the social & sports events along with marches for Independence Day & Republic Day.

    My experience in IIT Bhubaneswar until now is good. I got 140 marks in my JEE Advanced but I didn't get CSE branch institute with what marks I got so I took EE branch. In other top IITs, I could get like Civil & Mechanical branches but electrical is someway better than that so I took this. Hostel facility in this institute.     Overall, IIT Bhubaneswar is good with many positives and some shortcomings. I wanted to opt for Computer Science as per my JEE Advanced rank. There are many Telugu speaking people here. This campus is so huge as it is 1000 acres in size and half of it not used. Greenery is spread all around the campus. Hills nearby create beautiful ambience.     It is a great college to be part of, the obvious reason being it is an IIT, the opportunities you get, the people you get to meet and the experience you get to learn and thrive is the country's best.     Overall campus is good. We have standard facilities available at our hostels. Institute campus has its own shopping complex, ice-cream parlor and many more to come. This institute is an IIT, this tag has its own value also institute faculties are experienced, and one of my senior also suggested this so I opted for the institute.
