Placement Opportunities at Manipal University Jaipur

Manipal University Jaipur is located on the outskirts of Jaipur city in a place called Dehmi Kalan. The infrastructure of the university is quite good. I am currently pursuing B.Tech in Information Technology (pre-final year) and would be graduating in 2026. In terms of teaching experience, I would say that there is mix of faculties. Some faculties put all efforts to make sure students love the subject. From mid 2024, onwards the university has become strict in terms of its rules and regulations such as attendance. Batch size of computer related branches is too much around 1500+ (CSE, CSE specializations, IT, CCE, and DSE. Overall atmosphere is good. It all depends on peer group so, choose it wisely. If you are in top 5 % of your branch then you can expect to get a good placement.

I chose B.Tech in Information Technology as it seemed a safe option for me and my rank was not enough for CSE branch and I did not want to take any specialization before hand as, I wanted to explore and figure out on my own. Admission is possible through Manipal entrance. Direct admission without any donation is possible if you come to university campus before hand for admissions. There are 3 components of a subject for grading: MTE of 30%, CWS of 30%, and ETE of 40%.

Tuition fee is around 3.3 Lakh Per Year for my batch. Scholarships are available for some people based on 10+2 marks.

Faculties of Manipal University Jaipur are very subjective. Some are quite good and put too many efforts so that students understand each thing about subject. Some of them can improve their behavior and style of teaching though. Another thing, it would beneficial for students to have good relation with their mentors.

The placement cell is quite active and sends mails regarding opportunities quits frequently. However, due to such a huge batch size, the cutoff for good companies is quite high and in some case something like 9.99+.

Manipal University Jaipur does offer residential facilities and it is quite good. There are double sharing bedrooms with attached washroom. The rooms are excellent. Boy’s and girl’s hostels are separate and more hostels are being built. The mess food is overall decent in comparison to other universities but what happens is that people get bored eating the same food repeatedly. Hostel fee is paid annually.

University’s infrastructure is quite good. There are amphitheaters, academic blocks, library, labs, seminar halls, as well as sports facilities. A new central library is being built. Security is 24/7 in university side and entry is restricted to university side after 10 PM. Entry is possible if some event such as hackathons are happening. There are many food outlets in university

Overall campus life is good and your peer review will make sure what you will do in long term. University crowd is mostly children with good financial background and there are lots of them who do not care a lot about placements. Therefore, it is up to you what you want to do. There are many clubs in university and, I would recommend you joining them in 1st and 2nd year. Not recommended them in 3rd year as you would be quite busy by that time. Annual fest is known as ‘Oneiros’ that mostly occurs during February.
