University of Lucknow: Fee Structure and Affordability for BA

Myself Shruti Singh and I'm a student of BA 1st year. Overall my experience till now is good because I liked the behavior of the people and teachers here very much. The campus life here is also very good. Like our college is very old, almost 104 years old, so the structure here is quite amazing and you should absolutely take admission here. Lucknow University is a ragging free university which differentiates us from other universities. Here, no seniors can do ragging or talk rudely to juniors that impressed me a lot before gets admission.

I choose BA course because I had to prepare for government exams in the future. I talked to some very senior who suggested me to come here. I was more impressed after seeing the main campus. To get admission here, you must have passed 12th with minimum 50% marks and then you have to clear the cutoff of individual exam of University of Lucknow. After this the result will come, if your name appears in the result then your counseling will start, admissions will start after about 1 month of counseling, for that you will have to go to University of Lucknow. Your fee will be submitted there and then you will get admission. As far as exams are concerned, I have BA course so I have to give exams for 6 subjects and all the courses have different subjects like this. As far as academic preparation is concerned, the teachers here are almost regular. My Economics teacher is regular, there is a little problem in the subject but in the end you have to prepare on your own, so self study is also very important for university students.

As I'm a BA student so, my regular fee is Rs. 3,000 but because it is a self-finance subject, my three subjects have fee of Rs. 3000 each so my total fee for one semester is approximately Rs. 12,500 and per year my fee will be approx. Rs. 24,500. So it's a lot for BA student but it's pretty good than many other colleges. Here no category wise relaxation is given to the students related to fees but however, at the time of admission you get some relaxation in the examinations category wise. You also get scholarship; here whatever amount you have given for fee, you get the same approximation according to your fees per year.

I like the behavior of the teachers here and their affection towards the students. My economics teacher is very good, especially Harnam Kaur sir. He talks to the students very lovingly, teaches them well, asks them questions and answers their questions. There is no such thing as group discussion here, but we get PPT on time and an overview is taken from the students by making them stand on the stage. The teacher student ratio is also almost fine here, there are enough students but yes the teachers are also enough to handle them well. My bonding with teacher is pretty good.

The campus's academic block and structure are old and need renovation. But the campus size is quite big and it is very good for roaming around. The classrooms are also very big and seats are also available in large numbers. Libraries are also available for study like Cyber Library, Tagore Library, Cyber provide PCs, where you can study comfortably. There are many canteens in the campus, there are about 10 canteens where you can eat your favorite food and can enjoy with your friends. Sports events are also organized in the campus, just a few days ago, kho-kho, Kabaddi and Cricket were organized and they take the winners to the national level and also provide them prizes. There are 4 to 5 free transport autos available in the university through which you can go here and there in the campus. I and my friends' favorite spot is Shivaji Ground where we sit comfortably and share Tiffin after the classes are over we spend half of our time there.

We meet different people on campus. There is a lot of crowd on campus of University of Lucknow because there are many students. Here we get a chance to meet different people, which help in developing our mentality and thinking. Students from all over India and international students also take admission in Lucknow University; they just need to be eligible. My overall campus life is very good as far as I have seen in one year. Although there is nothing like fests here. There are events but very few are seen in the Faculty of Arts, most are seen in the Faculty of Commerce, there is some event or the other happening every day which is very good for the students. Yes, the University of Lucknow is pretty nice and definitely you should take admission in this university if you want a great future.
