IIT Bhubaneswar: My Experiences in First Year

Overall Rating
My experience until now in the institute is good. My experience in first year was okayish and infrastructure is good. Distance between hostel and learning hall is far so that I can go by cycle. Seniors are also stated that the institute is better in comparison of other ones.
 

Academics Rating
There are two exams in each semester that is mid-sem and end-sem examination. The course is chosen by most students compromising because of low eligibility. It is very hard to score well in examinations here, as the completion is very high here.
Tuition fee is about 1 Lakh per semester and hostel fee is about Rs. 20,000 per semester.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are having high standards and qualifications even then they are very chill and understanding. They have a lot of patience causing them to be very exclusive and open to doubts and ideas. the interactive and discussions help students in understanding and engaging students allowing to grasp concepts better than normal mode of studying making it a ideal environment for a student. There are special tutorial classes for students exclusively for problem solving.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the institute provides residential facilities to the students. It also provides buses to the hostlers to commute to and from hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of this campus is very good as it is very recently established IIT. The excellent facilities are not present but the present features are of decent thing. The academic building has air conditioning and bus facilities to students to use for from hostel to academic block for classes every half an hour or one hour as the distance between hostel and academic block is huge. The sports facilities are also good. Nescafe stalls, juice shops, and restaurants shopping complex inside and many more are present inside the campus premises.
 

Campus Rating
The overall experience of campus life is good. Events and fests are conducted from time to time. The campus offers a very comfortable campus life for the students. I am very glad that I took admission in this college.

    My experience in IIT Bhubaneswar until now is good. I got 140 marks in my JEE Advanced but I didn't get CSE branch institute with what marks I got so I took EE branch. In other top IITs, I could get like Civil & Mechanical branches but electrical is someway better than that so I took this. Hostel facility in this institute.     Overall, IIT Bhubaneswar is good with many positives and some shortcomings. I wanted to opt for Computer Science as per my JEE Advanced rank. There are many Telugu speaking people here. This campus is so huge as it is 1000 acres in size and half of it not used. Greenery is spread all around the campus. Hills nearby create beautiful ambience.     Overall campus is good. We have standard facilities available at our hostels. Institute campus has its own shopping complex, ice-cream parlor and many more to come. This institute is an IIT, this tag has its own value also institute faculties are experienced, and one of my senior also suggested this so I opted for the institute.
