TIDSHRC Bhilai Provides Quality Education

Overall Rating
I chose TIDSHRC Bhilai as it has good infrastructure and low tuition fee compared to other private Dental Institutes in Chhattisgarh. it can be placed at 3rd place in overall study and clinical practices. The institute has good number of students from the outstation state, especially from West Bengal and Odisha. As being a Bengali myself, I found it comfortable with many batch mates from my state. The place Bilaspur in which the institute is located is also good.
 

Academics Rating
I am enrolled in the course BDS, as I wanted to be a doctor. For enrolling into the course, you have to give NEET UG exam and get above the cut off marks. You have to go through counseling rounds to get into the institute. It is a 4+1 years of course with 1 year of internship. The university exams are on annual basis not on semester basis. The institute conducts 3 internal exams per year. The institute has good studying environment.
For the course BDS, the tuition fee, is Rs. 2,12,309 per annum for 4 years. In the first year, you have to give additional Rs. 10,000 as caution money. The institute does not provide any scholarships but you can enroll in central government scholarships.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of TIDSHRC Bhilai are well qualified. Most of them are from South India. They take the classes by showing PPTs. They posses good amount of knowledge in the theory and practical part. You can always go to them if you face any difficulties and they are approachable. The teacher to student’s ratio is average. There is also mentor mentee program where a particular number of students are assigned to a staff for mentorship
 

Placement Rating
The institute does not provide any placements but the students can join as a staff after completion of degree, but the salary is minimal. Most of the students opt for private practices afterwards.
 

Hostel Rating
TIDSHRC Bhilai provides separate hostel facilities to both boys and girls. The rooms for boys are twin sharable and triple sharing for girls. The hostel has centralized cooler facilities and water purifier at each floor. The mess provides only vegetarian food. The quality of the food is average. The hostel fee per annum is Rs. 75,000. The hostlers can only leave the campus after issuing a gate pass and they must comeback before 9 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
TIDSHRC Bhilai has good infrastructure. In the institute campus, there is no cafeteria or any shop. The classrooms are good with every one of them having projectors and sound system. The institute has a good library with wide range of books. The campus has good security with guards at the gates and CCTV cameras.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is average. The institute does not conduct regular events. There are no clubs in the institute. There is one annual program on farewell of the intern batch is conducted every year. Apart from that in the time of Ganesh Puja, various sports competition, and cultural programs are held. In the current year the university is conducting, inter institute competition among the dental institutes. The institute takes part in that. The social life is average. We went on various nearby places in weekend to enjoy.
