Admission Through KEAM for GEC Wayanad

Government Engineering College, Wayanad has beautiful campus. It is surrounded by the tea plantation. It is really calm and quite as there is no pollution and the air quality is so good. Class timing is 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Hostel timing is 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM.

Eligibility to get the admission in college through KEAM rank, conducted by the CEE in Kerala. To get a seat in the computer science engineering should be under 9500 rank in KEAM entrance exam. I like coding and I am curious to know about the working of computer that is why I chose this course. there are 2 test series and module test in a semester.

The year wise tuition fee is about Rs. 18,000 and registration fee is around Rs. 7,000. there is fees concession in SC/ST category students. 2 students in a batch get 100% scholarship in tuition fee.

1 to 32 is the faculty is to student ratio. In addition, the faculty student relation is very impressive. Faculties have very good helping mentality. There are 2 tests for internal marks in a semester along with the project or assignment. Faculties are highly qualified and very energetic. Faculties are supporting and helping in new programs or projects. Teaching method is mixed most of the time using PPT. group discussions also a part of the method. Faculty also improves our problem solving skills.

There is placement cell, which is very active. the average package offered during the drive is 2 LPA. the highest package is 7 LPA.

The infrastructure of the hostel is average. Hostel fee is Rs. 3,000 per month. It is affordable compared to PGs or rented rooms.

Many blocks have smart classrooms. In central library, there are plenty of reference books and journals and all of them are accessible to students in the college. There are 3 seminar halls and well-maintained labs. Campus is around 20 acres. There are 3 blocks: main block, civil block, and EC & CS block. The classrooms can accommodate around 70 to 80 students. Classrooms are smart classrooms with projector. There is a well-maintained gymnasium and the cafeteria in the campus. There are many beautiful spots to spend the time inside the campus. Central library has many books, journals, papers, reference books, and also has specific department libraries.

Campus life is really impressive in Government Engineering College, Wayanad. Even semester has annual and technical fests. There are many clubs for co curriculum activities like robotics, IEEE, and social clubs like NSS, etc. Sports meet, arts, and culture day celebrations are also good.
