Hostel Life at KIET Group of Institutions

My overall experience at KIET Ghaziabad is good. This institute has good infrastructure, a good sports facility, and a good faculty. It is better than other private institutes in Uttar Pradesh. The institute offers wide range of clubs for many activities. The seniors in this institute are supportive and friendly. The institute has zero tolerance for ragging so no need to worry about ragging. The hostels are good and better than other institutions in the area. The only problem I saw was that lack of fests but I guess we can hope for more fests in future as the institute has become autonomous.

I am in B.Tech with CSE AI. I took admission in this institute directly through my board percentage. The other way to get admission in this institute is through AKTU counseling, but it reserves 15% of its seats for the ones who scored 95% in their 12th boards. The academics in this institute are very good. This institute is considered one of the top institutes in terms of academics in AKTU. The curriculum followed by autonomous KIET is according to International standards. Our courses include Foreign Language, Communication Skills, Artificial Intelligence, Web Development, Data Structures, etc. These courses prepare us for real life challenges. The faculty is supportive. They will always be there to guide you. There will be exams in every month like any other institutes in India and weekly assignment and quizzes. I can say that this institute is best in terms of academics.

The fee structure of this institute is balanced. I paid Rs. 1,40,000 for my course and this fee is year wise. The scholarships are available for people with financial difficulties (Annual income less than 1.5 to 2 Lakhs). The scholarships are also available for the students belonging to SC and ST category as well. Apart from tuition fee, we have to pay yearly Rs. 8,000 exam fee for both semesters.

The faculty members here are very good. They are supportive and are highly educated. They all have deep knowledge in their subjects and are usually from top institutes like NIT's. We have smart boards in our classrooms and the desks have sockets for powering our laptops. They use all the means like video explanations to make us understand the subjects. The problem solving abilities of the faculty are good teachers creating a good and friendly environment for the students to study in. They will always be there to solve your problem. Some teachers will not only solve your academic problems but also help personal problems. The teacher to student ratio is fine like there is 1 teacher in per 24 students.

The placements in KIET Ghaziabad are better than most institutes in this area. I will not say that it is good but it is not that bad. The placement cell in our institute is very active and tries it is best to get everyone placed. Through institute placements, the highest one can achieve is upto 20 LPA, but lot of students are placed off campus and at an even higher package. We can find out seniors working as interns in good companies. TCS, Capgemini, and Accenture are our leading recruiters.

KIET Ghaziabad offers hostel facilities. The students get hostels on a first come first serve basis and the rooms are limited. There are 2 hostels for boys accommodating about 600 students and 1 hostel for girls accommodating about 300 girls in first year. There are 4 more boy’s hostel and 2 more girl’s hostel for seniors. The mess food is surprisingly good. There are indoor and outdoor sports and culture events for hostels along with festive celebrations. But in first year, there are strict rules for us. Students are allowed outside of the hostels upto 9.30pm. Hostel fee varies from Rs. 1,07,000 to Rs. 1,45,000 for non-AC and AC rooms. They offer 3 seater and 1-seater rooms.

The infrastructure is well developed but the campus is small it is of only 18 acres. The blocks are very well designed with modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and dedicated rooms for institute clubs. The classroom supports a capacity of 70 students. There is a large library in an institute where students can study until 5 PM (day scholars) and 2 AM (hostlers). There is a modern auditorium for seminars, etc. The institute has many canteens. You will find a canteen at every corner so no need to worry. Sports facilities are available and you can find every sport equipment in the sports complex. The campus also has dedicated ground for each sport. The institute offers free medical facilities to its student. You can find high-speed internet in classrooms. My favorite thing is the sports facilities in the institute.

Campus life is good in KIET Ghaziabad. The campus offers wide range of activities and opportunities for personal growth to its students. The institute crowd is vibrant, you will find students engaged in all sorts of activities like coding, singing, sports, music, dance, etc. The institute offers wide variety of clubs, like social, technical, and musical. These clubs are engaged in lot of extracurricular activities like music nights, dance nights, movie evening, etc. There are many fests like technical and sports fest organized by the institute. My experience about the campus life is very good.
