A Life at KIET Group of Institutions

Overall Rating
My experience at the KIET Group of Institutions has been good in terms of both academic and non-academic things. Here many varieties of sports are present and also you get the opportunity to be a part of it. The main factor that made me choose this institute was its practical approach towards most of the subjects and there is a lab for everything you want to do. I think if you want an environment where you can flourish then you can choose this institution over others.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen the B.Tech in CSE AI department which I have chosen for obvious reasons as AI is the next big thing and we are also enriched with this in our course. Entry requirements are a good percentile in JEE MAINS or you can also enroll directly without JEE MAINS but you have to give an entrance exam which will decide your department. Admission process is very smooth and simple if it’s through AKTU Counselling as I was enrolled through that only, it took only about 30 minutes to get admitted at time of physical reporting.
Fee of my course at KIET Group of Institutions is around Rs. 1, 50,000 per year. It includes all the things but at the time of semester exams you have to pay exam. There is no as such special discount but there are many scholarships given by the government.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty that I have got in my department is average. Method of teaching is PPT's and blackboards both. Some of the teachers have very good problem solving skills like my Math teacher is best in the institution in my opinion. The teachers are mostly frank and friendly and are approachable at any time you desire. Teacher to student ratio is okay.
 

Placement Rating
Placements at KIET Group of Institutions were not good last year as every domain was facing recession but this year the placements are good and most of the renowned companies come like Amazon, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, etc. The average package is around 7-8 LPA and the highest offered was 60 LPA this year to an AI department student.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, KIET Group of Institutions offers residential facilities which include two hostels for the first year. The total numbers of students that can be accommodated are around 600 which is less as its intake is very high. Mess food is average. Yes the girls and boys hostels are separate. Hostel fees with the AC are around Rs. 1, 40,000 a year which is 3 seaters. Hostel rules and timings are strict for the first year. I am not staying in the hostel as I didn't get it.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of the campus is very good especially my block (H). It is the newest and most well-equipped block which also includes a robotic and space center. There is a one main canteen which serves variety of food with good taste and many small cafes are also present. Security and medical facilities are also available here. The one feature that complements my course is the classrooms that are well equipped with modern facilities.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at KIET Group of Institutions is very good even though the campus area is small, but the institute space has been utilized very well. Institute crowd is in my opinion high as the intake of KIET is increasing year by year. There are many clubs including both academic and cultural. One of them is also supported by Google and Newton School. Fests are not much frequent. One big fest happens once a year which is a 3 day long fest. That’s the best fest of the year.

    The overall experience at the Institute is Good. We have good infrastructure in college and the campus is supported with full high speed Wi-Fi. Honestly, I did not secure good rank in JEE, so I am here; but after spending my 1st semester here, I am satisfied with my decision to choose KIET over other private colleges.     Overall experience at KIET Group of Institutions is very satisfactory. Services are very good. They are providing every possible facility for students and it depends on student how they will use it. Curriculum is also very good and is as per the time evolving.     I have chosen KIET Group of Institutions due to its placements percentage and its infrastructure. My overall experience in this institute was good.     According to my view, KIET Group of Institutions puts a lot of effort for the student's placement. From this year, the Institution got autonomous and has designed the updated curriculum as per the industry need. This year, the placement is not getting so good due to recession. The infrastructure of the Institution is decent and the classrooms are well maintained.
