NEC Nellore: Good College in Nellore

Overall Rating
NEC Nellore is the best in our city Nellore. For those who want to stay in their native place and study, it is the best choice. I also joined because it is very nearby to our home. There is 75% attendance criteria, which is a little strict, if you have lesser attendance you can be fined and can even be detained if your attendance is below 65%. I would recommend one to join this college if they get a seat from EAPCET.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Computer Science Education (CSE) as my branch in the college. That is because this sector is booming and the future is all about internet and computers. One can join this college either through EAMCET or management quota. The exams are frequent that is a big downside in this college. The academics are very different from real life challenges.
The fee I pay for this course is Rs. 1,35,000 every year. I also paid Rs. 1,00,000. The fee is high because I joined through Management Quota.
 

Faculty Rating
Few faculties have good knowledge of what they are teaching. The background of senior faculty is good with PhDs and other qualifications. Method of teaching is usually through PPTs. Teachers to student ratio is okay at the college. Some of the faculty are approachable and we can talk with them without any issues, but the other faculty have some attitude and we need to be careful with them or they will reduce the marks.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell is a separate department in NEC Nellore. The faculty in placement cell are usually much better as they are well versed and they know what skills are needed to land a job, survive in the industry. The placement cell faculty teaches Communicate English, Verbal, and other fields as well. The average package is 3 LPA and the highest package is 12 LPA as far as I know. I am still in 2nd year and I have not been placed yet.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of NEC Nellore is excellent with huge auditoriums and everything is really good. The labs have good internet, computers and big projectors. There is even very good air conditioning in the college. There is also a huge library with many books but some of them are really old. There are books related to all the departments in the college. Canteen is big but the food there is average. Snacks are available.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is not bad. The crowd is also not very high. The faculty manages the crowd quite effectively by putting separate timings for 1st year freshers and the other department in the college. The fests overall are very less along with events. Events are only conducted when there are any festivals. There are many clubs in the college, which includes Coding Club, Robotics club, Physical games club, Sports Club, Indoor games club, etc.

    I have gotten around 12,4xx rank in EAPCET. I joined Narayana Engineering College, as my parents did not want me to leave my hometown and study in some faraway city.
