College Life in New Horizon College of Engineering

Overall Rating
Overall college experience is good since it has a well balance of academics and other co curricular activities. I joined this college because of my senior's influence. He used to post about events and placements status in social media that inspired me and my friends to join this college. Mostly the vibe of events is also good. Another reason to join New Horizon College of Engineering was its shorter distance from my home.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen BE in Mechanical Engineering because it is my passion from my childhood. I am easily able to understand all the logics and have done many projects even before joining the college. To get admission in mechanical branch of this college, it requires less than two lakhs eighty thousand ranking in KCET. Students can also join through college management quota. Final exams happen in every 5 months and internal assessments in a month.
The fee of my course is Rs. 1,60,000 per year that includes Rs. 1,15,000 as tuition fee and Rs. 45,000 as a registration fee. Scholarship is also available for the students (based on categories)
 

Faculty Rating
I have observed that all the faculties who teach me are well versed with industry level knowledge. They all have graduated from reputed colleges. Some of them are from different IITs (like Bombay, Kharagpur, Kanpur, etc.), NITs, and VIT. They use blackboards as well as PPTs and Practicality exists most in our field. My bonding with all faculties is good since I submit the assignments on time. They are always ready to help students with doubts.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell of New Horizon College of Engineering is active. It starts from 3rd year. They help us to get placed in both indigenous and foreign companies. Highest package provided to the student in placement drive is 35 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
I am not in hostel but I have heard from my friends that all facilities are provided in the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
My college has multiple blocks with a garden and proper seating arrangement. Seating capacity in every class is 60 and library is average but seminar halls and auditorium are excellent as they equipped with AC and best sound systems. Canteen has good South Indian food. There are 5 canteens in the campus. My favorite spot in college is umbrella-structured canteen. Facilities include projectors, well equipped labs, etc.
 

Campus Rating
Over all campus, life is amazing. College crowd is always exited to make something entertaining always. There are clubs like NCC club, NSS, Rotary club, music, dance, gym or fitness, engaging activities include music’s and other dancing events. Fests such as Sargam & Quantamics and there are also festival celebrations like Deepavali, Ram Navami, etc. I love this college for various other reasons such as its location, friends, canteen, etc.

    Though this college is located in the most crowded areas of the Bangalore, it has good infrastructure built in the small area and it has beautiful gardens and a good cafeteria. The faculty out here are also very student friendly and teach very well. The crowd is also very good.     I chose this institute because it had a very good reputation, and I personally felt a very positive potential vibe. Due to its placement level standard. Others must come here for good placement, good facilities and study environment, good industrial training. Faculty, library, sports, events, etc. are good. Also, the other reasons for my enrollment were based on the experiences of the seniors and their sincere reviews upon the college's atmosphere. So, I recommend others to join here as well....     NHCE is one of the best engineering colleges in Bangalore. I have really liked the campus which was big, and the placement of the college was good.
