Career Potential with NSUT Delhi's Placement Cell

My overall experience of NSUT New Delhi can be summarized as good. I chose this particular institute because it is one of the top government engineering universities in Delhi, it was near to my house, and if offered the course I wanted to pursue. It also offers a lot of various extra curriculum things and exposer that other universities don't.

I chose B.Tech. For entry requirement, you have to give JEE Main and then register for JAC counseling and then you will get university and course as per your cutoff and rank secured in JEE Main. Then once selected you will have to pay the fees and verify your documents to confirm your seat. Exams are held twice per semester, mid sem which happens at the mid of semester of 15 to 20 marks depending upon the subject is practical based or not, mid sem is generally of 1.5 hours, the syllabus is generally half of the whole syllabus. On the other hand the end sem examinations held at the end of the semester with whole syllabus and of 45 to 50 marks depending on the kind of subject and it is of 3 hours.

The fee is Rs. 2,50,000 that includes tuition fee Rs. 1,00,000, university fee Rs. 77,000, student fund Rs. 25,000, facilities charges Rs. 26,000, alumni fund Rs. 1,000, examination fee Rs. 15,000. No discounts are provided to specific category but scholarships are provided for SC/ST categories if they fulfill the criteria.

The faculty members are well-educated PhD scholars. The method of teaching depends on the teachers, it can be PPT, notes based, or book based or simple lectures. Problem solving abilities are good and they all are well educated. The teacher to student ratio in university is also good. It doesn't affect teachers or students that much. They are not approachable; some of them are but not all of them.

The training and placement cell at NSUT New Delhi offers various opportunities of internship and job. The students get mail on their university email ID regarding opportunities. Companies that have visited the campus are Microsoft, Amazon, Meesho, Adobe, DE Shaw, Goldman sacs, Honda, Maruti, Texas, etc. Maximum package offered is 1 CPA and average is 17 LPA.

University has its own hostels for boys and girls. There are 2 buildings each for boys and girls with around 100 rooms in each. Girl’s and boy’s hostels are separate. Mess and quality of food is average. Hostel fee is around Rs. 50,000. Hostel in timings are around 9:30 PM.

The campus has a good structure and all the buildings are always up to date. The facilities and technologies are top notch. Campus is spread across 145 acres of land and is situated in Dwarka Delhi. Seating capacity in every class is around 100 students. There is a single central library for students, various labs for various departments, 2 auditoriums, and various seminar halls. There are 2 canteens in university and a sports area dedicated to sports a gym.

Overall campus life is above average as compared to other engineering universities. The crowd is good as these are only students of various programs so there aren’t any problems regarding crowd. Yes, there are many societies in NSUT New Delhi, I myself is a part of many of them. There are various activities organized by university on almost every occasion, which are great. There are 2 annual fests organized that are Moksha and Resonance.
