My Journey at Silicon University, Bhubaneswar

Overall Rating
I joined Silicon University at 2021 and I will be completing my B.Tech journey this year. I got a spot admission here as I was preparing for NEET exam and doing B.Tech was my last minute decision. I think in this institute there are several options and opportunities for students to grow. The university has an excellent placement record as well. This institute excels in academics and the faculty members are really supportive.
 

Academics Rating
I got a spot admission in ECE branch as it was my last minute plan to do B.Tech as I was preparing for NEET exam. The university selects students on the basis of JEE MAIN rank and allot stream according to that only. But the academic is really good and the faculty members are so talented and we'll educate. There are total of 2 tests one mid sem of 25 mark and end-sem of 60 mark in a semester.
The fee structure for Silicon University is: tuition fee is Rs. 1,50,000 per annum. The hostel rent is Rs. 24,000 for non AC 3 seater rooms.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of Silicon University is really well educated. They are really supportive and they guide the students as their own child and guide us as our parents do. The teaching methods of the faculty members are excellent which makes Silicon University excel in the field of academics. The teacher student ratio is well maintained. My bonding with one of my branch faculty is just like a mother. She guides me in every aspect of my life.
 

Placement Rating
Currently I am in B.Tech final year and the placement record of our university is really amazing. In 2023 batch almost 83% of students were placed. And I got a practice School from university with a stipend of Rs. 1, 20,000. The companies like Deloitte, Capgemini, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, etc. visits our campus and recruit as much as students possible. The average package offered is Rs. 5, 00,000 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
In our hostel room we are provided with a bed, study table, chair, mattress, pillow and cupboard. There are 3 hostels in our campus 2 boys’ hostel and one girl’s hostel. Boys and girls hostel are different and girl’s hostel is very safe.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are different academic block such as for Electronic and Communication Engineering block, Electrical and Electronic block, Computer Science and Engineering block, etc. There is a big auditorium which can hold almost 700 students at a time. There are almost hundreds of classrooms. There is a central library in our campus any student can visit and issue a book read. There are total 3 canteens one veg, one non-veg and another canteen is a hybrid canteen.
 

Campus Rating
Overall my campus life is amazing. There is a moderate crowd in university. There are various clubs in our campus such as music club, switch club, dance club, IEEE club, etc. There are 2 Annual fests of our university that is Zygon, the cultural fest and NIRMAAN, the tech fest which occurs every year and Students really enjoy these fests a lot. My favorite place in the campus is ABD where I chill with my friend and have snacks. The best part of my university life is the hostel’s night life.

    Overall, the Silicon University felt a little short for the fees we give. Faculties are good. Some are great. There is Free Wi-Fi. Campus is moderately big. The library is good. It has a Decent environment. Attendance wise it is strict. Exams are moderately difficult, can pass with moderate amount of efforts. You don't have to study throughout the years to ace the exam.
