my experience in REC Sonbhadra

Overall Rating
Campus is 3Km away from main Highway and 2 km away from auto stand, You will find bus stand at a distance of 8km but there is no problem of transport in REC Sonbhadra. If you have low budget you can go for REC Sonbhadra. This college is situated in rural area that’s why you can face some problems in buying some goods, a market is near the college and a big market is 8km away the college.
 

Academics Rating
For admission in this college you have to give JEE mains exam with a good percentile of 75 plus. There are three branches CSE, Electrical and electronics, there is almost 70 students in each class. I got this college when I have 83+ percentile in JEE mains and got CSE branch, you can get a fee waiver seat if your percentile is nearly 88 plus.
 

Faculty Rating
Every teacher is well qualified and helps you in studies and if you want another help, they help whatever they can do. There are two internal tests in every semester and teacher give internal marks on the basis of internal masks obtained in class test. Every teacher is PhD holder and they are assistant professor.
 

Placement Rating
REC Sonbhadra placement cells helps students very much in placement drive. Placement is becoming better year by year, in batch 2022 there is placement of nearly 90% with highest package of Rs. 45 LPA with lowest package of 3.5 LPA and an average package of 4.5 LPA. In batch 2023 20% placement is completed till Nov 2022 and rest will be completed in coming days. Internship opportunities are not too much here but with time it is increasing mostly we get internship opportunities online.
 

Hostel Rating
There are four hostels present in campus in which girls hostel is one and rest are boys’ hostel, you have every facility inside, REC Sonbhadra hostel mess food is average it changes with time.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College have two academic buildings in each buildings labs are available and there is two smart class in every academic building. Sports are available such as cricket, volleyball, football, table tennis, badminton, and chess. There is library present inside college with almost every book which is required in syllabus.
 

Campus Rating
REC Sonbhadra Campus life is good seniors are very helpful the help us whenever we need them. Total 600 to 800 students are present in the campus, fest are organized every year on engineers day, freshers, new year. Currently there is no club present in college but we are trying our best to start a coding club in college. There is an organized called UMEED where we teach students of rural areas from class LKG to 12th.

    Overall Rating
    Location of college is like a hill station. You will find great sceneries around the college. But you will not find any cinema halls, nearby. There are shopping malls and good market few kilometers from the college. Teaching is good. You can also get scholarship if you are from UP. You will get lot of free time for your studies.     The location of college is very effective. It is about 10km away from the market. Infrastructure of the college is better and the smart class rooms and the library and 24×7 wi-fi also available. The conditions of laboratory and the workshops are good. Also the faculties are very helpfull. Extera circular activities like sports, cultural activities and other games are organized....     My branch is computer science engineering and my experience is good here, very helpful seniors and faculty. We are provided with all the facilities required for the placements, internship and our training.
