SVU Tirupati's Hostel Facilities and Amenities

At first, I would like to say that, the University is very big and have four entrances. The university has many courses which can be specialized by each and every student. As you know the university was named after Lord Venkateswara, as the name resembles the university gives you a positive vibe and divine nature in the University. The university of sciences is especially for all the science departments located at same place where the students can experience various topics. Finally, the University is best place to study in and to achieve your goals.

Firstly, the course I have chosen was M.Sc (Virology). The department of Virology has various equipment which are very much useful to the students to conduct experiments and to experience the research methodology in M.Sc. Whereas, the professors are well qualified and experienced. The environment in the department is very much suitable for the students to focus on their goals and to study well. Secondly, the eligibility criteria are that one should be graduated in that particular subject with minimum of 50% or above. The admission process is completed in the office room of the SVU. The exams will be conducted in the semester manner where the semester contain 6 months and for every 2 months there will be one internal examination. The academics are very much helpful for me to achieve my dream and motivate me towards it.

Firstly, the fee structure of Sri Venkateswara University is different for every department but the course I have chosen was in general category so, it is Rs. 18,750 per year and scholarship is also applicable for the candidates who are eligible.

Firstly, the faculty in the Virology department is well educated and experienced professors. Each of the professors is from different background. The method of teaching in Virology department is they show ppts, uses blackboard, conduct seminars and they explain everything on blackboard very clearly. They all have very much experience in problem-solving as they can answer any of the questions the students ask. There are 28 students in a class and 4 professors to take the classes and 4 research scholars. According to me, my experience with the faculty was very good and they are very friendly and clarify the doubts of the students easily.

The University offers hostel facilities for the students who join the university from far. There are various number of rooms, and 7 students per room. they provide a broomstick, dustbin, and a mirror in the room. Both the girls and boys hostels are separate. The food in the hostel is average. Hostel fee varies depending on the caste and for general category the fee is Rs. 10,000. Hostel rules are you have to be at the hostel by 6PM in the evening, morning breakfast from 7 to 8:30 AM, lunch from 12 to 2 PM, evening snacks at 5 PM and dinner from 7 to 8:30 PM.

The campus has various blocks for each department. The campus is very huge and is spread in many acres. The classroom is big enough to attend the classes and to conduct the experiments, the facilities in the classroom is useful for the students to get hand-on experience by conducting the experiments. There is a Central library in the center of Sri Venkateswara University; labs are provided in each of the department, a big Auditorium and senate hall for conferences. There are 2 canteens in the University, a healthcare center, ground area for sports. My favorite thing in the university infrastructure is the administrative building area.

My overall campus life was good. The crowd in the university is only seen during the examinations or fest. I don't know about the clubs much. There is sports meet every year for the students to participate during the Republic Day and Independence Day. The experience was overall good.
