Campus Life at GITAM University Hyderabad: Clubs, Diversity, and More

It's not a university to regret about, everything is just fine, academics and events. I chose GITAM University as it allows scholarship up to 100% even I got scholarship. Placements for CSE and ECE are just great. It’s like the difference is you can enjoy and manage academics so easily and get a good CGPA and placement than any other EAMCET colleges. There’s a Weekend holiday on Saturday and in GITAM University you get freedom in a lot of things. You also find free periods which most university doesn’t have.

I chose Computer Science (CSE core) because the placements of CSE and allied branches are so good. I've seen live examples of my seniors and placements in ECE are good as well. In GITAM University you can directly take admission if you pass 10+2, you can also join through GAT exam conducted by GITAM University which is an MCQ type and almost same syllabus as 10+2. If you perform well in the exam, according to your score you will get the scholarship. You can also join through MAINS and EAMCET score. According to your rank or percentile you will be offered a scholarship, if eligible.

So if you directly join without any scholarship the fees is about Rs. 3, 60,000 per year which will be increasing up to Rs. 4, 00,000 till final year. We clear the fee semester wise, there are no other fee as admission or registration everything thing is included in the actual fee. But there's about 100% scholarship which you can get if you perform well in GAT, but you have to maintain above 8 CGPA to save your scholarship. There’s a merit scholarship which can be achieved by getting top 1-3 in class. GITAM University has different scholarships and kept till the end by holding their CGPA above 8. There are no special discounts for category as SC, ST, or OBC but there's one for the ones whose parents have income less than 2 lakh per year get an extra of 20% scholarship.

We can choose our faculty and can take seniors suggestions for choosing our faculty so it's like you will choose the good faculty. But even you choose randomly its fine mostly everyone teach well and are not that strict. We will have two white boards and projectors. They will be teaching in projector while using board as well. Every faculty is well educated with certificates.

GITAM University, Hyderabad got the best infrastructure then other GITAM University branches. There are up to 9 blocks, three canteens, four cafes, more than 5 auditorium, three volleyball court, three basketball courts, one football court, and a cricket ground. There is also a indoor sports ground which includes Kabaddi, badminton, table tennis, chess, caroms, and other games. There's also a medical room with good doctors and facilities there are many places to hangout in campus. Classes are well designed and have AC.

I am having a nice experience here. Well you can find all types of people here. There are more than 23 clubs which are easy to join and participate. There’s one thing like one subject we can choose any of our interest includes cooking, etc. fests are the best part of GITAM University. Everything you expect from university life you can find it in GITAM University. Overall, my experience here is good.
