VIT's Enhanced Education

Overall Rating
This Vellore Institute of Technology is the most reputed college in India. Campus life is good and I joined here in the year 2024 in category 3. It has good infrastructure and the placements & education are good too. There are better implementations with technology.
 

Academics Rating
I've chosen this course because I like coding and computer based sciences and if you want to get admission in VIT vellore, then students have to attempt an entrance exam called VITEEE and based on your ranks the seat is allotted. Not only this based on your rank, category is decided and tuition fee is based on your category. There are 2 Mid exams conducted and a final semester exam is conducted named CAT-1&2 And FAT.
Fee of my course is paid per year which is Rs. 4,00,000 and hostel + mess costs around Rs. 1,86,000. So total cost is around Rs. 5,86,000. Fee is paid yearly at a time.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are good at VIT but some of them are excellent but some of them are not. Teacher to student ratio is nearly 1:19 which means for every 19 students, there is a one teacher. Faculty members are graduates who have done their Ph.D. Teachers use the following medium for teaching the students like with PPT's, projector in class, etc. Their problem solving abilities is good. The faculty members are very good and they even interact with students.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are good at Vellore Institute of Technology. Most of the students get placed in top companies. 11,000+ placements are offered for the students at VIT Vellore as per the last year analysis.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are good at Vellore Institute of Technology and AC rooms are very good as well. Do not prefer NON-AC rooms. Mess food quality is good but we have to adjust a bit.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are many academic blocks and 20+ hostel blocks. Classrooms at Vellore Institute of Technology are very spacious and good. Coming to library, you can read if you want to as there is a reading room. You can also issue a book and return it later once your work has completed. The canteen, sports and clubs are there in the Institute. There are many facilities here and the students can participate based on their interest. The Institute supports such students.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life at Vellore Institute of Technology has been good and college crowd was a bit large. There are about 40,000 students studying and there are 300+ clubs and chapters for students to enroll in their interested clubs. Extracurricular activities are there and events are conducted frequently. There is a big event named RIVIERA which is conducted every year in the month of February. Students can participate in the event if they are interested.

  • Computer Science and Engineering at VIT Vellore

    VIT, Vellore is a really great institute for anyone who is interested to pursue engineering. It has a wonderful campus of around 375 acres. It has all sorts of amenities that you expect from a premier institute. I chose this institute for its all round brilliance and because of the fact that it is ranked 11th in the NIRF ranking.     Curriculum: I am currently pursuing CSE at Vellore Institute of Technology. Learnt basics and everything is going fine. There is a great thing called FFCS here where I could choose my desired faculty and course according to my interest. One can get enough freedom of doing his/her desired course.     I have joined in VIT VELLORE in the year of 2024 as a fresher in B.Tech course. The college is very big and the college infrastructure is very huge and they provide an excellent opportunity for students with quality teaching and equipments.
