GITAM University Bangalore's Admission and Fee Structure

I had a good experience in the university for last 4 years. I have learnt a lot from the university like Theoretical knowledge, Communication skills, Practical Knowledge and I got good hands on experience in coding languages. Our faculty played a key role in providing good practical knowledge in the university. Our university has conducts many fests. The future of your campus life mainly depends on your friends. So, choose your friends wisely.

I am currently pursuing B.Tech degree in the stream of Computer Science at GITAM University. My primary motivation to choose this career is passion towards coding, technology, and problem solving. Entry requirements/Eligibility criteria at the university: A student needs to get at least 60% marks in the intermediate (12th grade/PUC), minimum percentage requirement towards 60 to 70%. For admission, we need fill out the application. Entrance exam and short listing (candidates are shortlisted based on their rank in the entrance exam) decide if you seat here or not. Frequency of exams: Two semester- exams per year (Mid Term and Final term). The curriculum is well structured and industry oriented, which helps students to get both theoretical and practical knowledge.

The fee for Computer Science for our batch is Rs. 2,05,000 for Computer Science course and if any student chooses any specialization may have to pay more for the university. If any student has good gaming skills if they reach any state level and national level sports and they will get a scholarship, which will be constant for 4 years. The university entrance exam will also helps in getting scholarship where the students need to maintain at least 8.5 GPA in every semester.

The faculty of GITAM University is very skilled. They provide both theoretical and practical knowledge. They will be available always in their respective staff rooms. We can reach out to them if any issue happens in the core subjects related issues. The try to teach through PPTs where they will explain briefly about the topic that is mentioned in the PPTs. Our university faculty encourages participating in the events like Hackathon which helps to improve the problem solving abilities. The faculty will be very friendly with the university students; they will treat like their friends. The ratio of students to teacher might 40:1, which means for every 40 students, one faculty will be there.

Placements of the university need to be improved to much extent.

Yes, our university provides residential facilities for fee of 1.5 LPA. There will be three buildings for hostels like Vinay Sadan, Kokilla Sadan, and staff quarters. Boys live in the Vinay Sadan. There will be three rooms allocated for 4 members with attached bathroom. There will be one study room. It is same for girls as well but only differs in the name of the university hostel like Kokilla Sadan. In between these two hostels, there are staff quarters where faculty will be present with their families. The mess food is also good as both veg and non-veg options are present in the menu. Hot water will be available for 24 hours. Laundry facilities are also available for students with some minimal extra charges.

GITAM University has good infrastructure with two major Buildings like Shivaji Bhavan and Visvesvaraya Bhavan. These two blocks are the places where students of all departments will be have classes. All the BBA and Business related students will seat in Visvesvaraya Bhavan and some Chemistry, Physics related staff rooms & labs are also located in the same block. The library is located in the Shivaji Bhavan. all the classrooms for technology students will be allocated in the block and computer labs are placed in the same block. There is one floor for project related activity like Murthi labs where faculty will do their projects in the labs. Some rooms will be allocated for Venture Development where new Entrepreneur ideas will be encouraged and university will support their ideas if it is good idea. Our university good security and They will be guided by some head who is very experienced. Our university provides very good rules to make students discipline.

Our campus life was very nice. We enjoyed a lot in the university through the events conducted by the university like fest. There will be some coding competitions like Hackathon where every student gets a chance to prove him or herself. There will be clubs for different roles like E-club and NSS and NCC. Our university will be providing good facilities and encourage talented students by giving them an opportunity to prove themselves. Finally, we enjoyed a lot in my college Life.
