BBA Program at Sanatan Dharma College: A Pathway to Success

After my boards result, the first thing I did was to find the best college in Chandigarh and then I came to know about GGDSD Chandigarh. It was my first preference and I was satisfied with my decision as soon as I saw people with great talent and academics were here is my class. This college is not only best for Commerce but also for sports and cultural activities. As my tenure is ending, I would tell all the students that if you choose this college, you will definitely great career in the future. My experience in this college was great, as I understood many things that will definitely help me in my future life.

My course was BBA. I chose this course, as I wanted to understand the business from basics. I am glad to know that it really gave me many answers to my questions. Well to be eligible, you have to have good marks in your 12th. Any section can take a course, there is no such thing as only Commerce students can opt for BBA. As your semester starts, your teacher will guide you with the exam patterns and then you will your mid semester dates by your teachers, which is of 40 marks, and for final semester. This will continue until your last semester (total 6 semesters each year has 2 semesters). This college is affiliated by Punjab University. During your course, you will find your best interest in the career you want to choose. As has a lot of good subject from Accounts to Personality Development. In your 3rd year will have to choose whether you want HR, Marketing, or Finance as your optional subject.

Well from your registration to your end semester there is a fee structure that is already on the college website talking about course fee, it is minimal in comparison to other best colleges. My fee was around Rs. 40,000 (annual) for 1st year. Until the 3rd year, it increased upto Rs. 48,000 in my final year. Registration fee was around Rs. 700 (I do not remember it clearly). During your course you to pay exam fee and attendance fine (if it is below 75%). The college gives scholarship and financial aid to students.

Faculty members of GGDSD Chandigarh are really intellectual and skilled. We have our email for student query and information for any new event or announcement and they respond your query with 24 hours. Talking about teachers, they all are educated in their field. Every teacher is good with students and they try to solve the student’s problem as soon as possible.

As I am in my last semester, I am glad that there are some good companies who come for campus placement but the problem is the standard of such companies are really high which makes the chances of selection rate low. You will get a form in your 3rd year where you have to fill your personal and professional details, so that the placement cell can use it when a company arrives. Recruitment process from tests to interview is done in campus. The packages are good enough for starting. Accenture, Industrial Credit, Investment Corporation of India, and Deloitte are some of the good companies who have visited our college.

Accommodation facilities provided by the college are good. Boy’s and girl’s hostel are separate and mess is there which has hygienic food. Each hostel also has separate GYM.

The campus has a library and a study room, which has many good books for each department. Each class has white board and a projector for teachers to teach. Some classes are well furnished with good lighting but some classes are still following they old style bench and class décor. The campus is vast in size with auditorium. It is located in good surrounding with parks and a peaceful area. The campus has seminar hall and mini auditorium. A Wi-Fi facility is also there. The college has a medical room for students and they provide ambulance in emergency.

Overall, the college life is fun and easy for me. The college students are energetic when it comes to events. There are various clubs, which support bonding with students by providing various events. Annually, there are fests organized GGDSD Chandigarh. I will definitely recommend this college, if you want your college life to be fun. I was a part of Rotaract club, which was fun for as I participated in various activities.
