Fully Satisfied with the Facilities of GEHU Dehradun

Overall Rating
I am completely satisfied with the facilities of this university. First of all, it is as private tier 3 university, it offers good amount of facilities for that level as per fee you pay. Scholarships and extracurricular activities are also provided to the students here. If you are a hardworking student, you can get into good companies by the end of your course. But remember you have to study on your own.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Tech Computer Science Engineering as it is a professional course that directly makes you placement ready. The eligibility is either you have given any entrance exam or you may get direct admission based on 12th marks too, according to the seats available. The academics are of decent level in the university. My suggestion would be that you should start studying on your own from day 1 itself.
You may have different fee if you take admission in GEHU Dehradun as I got 3 scholarships Uttarakhand domicile (25%), 5% as my father is in defense, and 3% to10% more for paying fee on the yearly basis. So my full course fee is around 10 Lakh.
 

Faculty Rating
There are mix faculties in the university. Some are good but some are not up to the mark. They actually want you to succeed and provide best of teaching they are ready to help students if there is any kind of issue or doubt. There is 1 teacher for every 80 students
 

Placement Rating
There is an active placement cell in GEHU Dehradun. Information regarding internship opportunities is provided to the students from time to time form 3rd years onwards. The placement classes and active working gets started form final year only. Average package in 2022 was 5.5 LPA. After the time of recession, placements are getting back on track again.
 

Hostel Rating
I am not a hostler but I have multiple friends there. The hostels are actually good if you are okay with staying multiple batch mates. There are twin and triple sharing rooms mostly. There are single rooms also but they are majorly allotted to senior students. The food is edible. There are in and out timings for boys and girls in the hostel. Proper guards and security is maintained in both girl’s and boy’s hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is good. There are classes, labs, lecture theatre, amphitheater, and auditorium. Auditorium has sufficient seats to host bigger events. There is building named ‘Silver Jubilee Convention Center’ where high-level events take place. Sitting capacity for each class is 80 students. Lectures halls have much high seating capacity, Of course the Silver Jubilee Convention Center can accommodate thousands of students. Sports grounds are also there along with multiple canteens. Medical facilities and ambulance are also provided.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is very good. The weather of Dehradun is awesome. It rains for 10 minutes and gets sunny after another 10 minutes. The crowd is mix and you can find your type of friends anywhere. Yes, there are multiple clubs for each niche such as finance, media, dance, singing etc. There are NCC and NSS societies that are very active and have a well-established name. I am part of both of them.

    I chose this college as I could not clear JEE. If you are from Uttarakhand, you might know about GEHU. It offers academic scholarships to all the students based on their score in class 12th. GEHU offers good placements and is affordable so I chose this college. If you are a student from Uttarakhand, you should go for GEHU as it is quite affordable in comparison to other colleges like UPES, DIT, and others.
