One of the best college of India

Overall Rating
Miranda house is the one of the best college of DU. I feel blessed to be in this college. I want to be an independent girl and want to experience free environment so I choose this college. We have best faculty, labs, libraries that make it different from another Institutes. I want to become a civil servant for which I want to do graduation from a top college of India where whatever I need is available.
 

Academics Rating
I am perusing B.Sc chemistry hons. At Miranda house. I am currently in 2nd year of my college. For enrolling in this course I have to appear for CUET exam in which 3 core subjects and a language subject is necessary to attempt. Here in Miranda house we appear for exam twice in a year .My academics prepare us for real life challenge as I have to constituently do hard work for our academics. We also have at least 3 lab classes in a week.
For B.Sc chemistry hons. Course I had to pay approximately Rs. 19,000 per year which includes all fees like tuition fee, admission, registration and other charges. There is special discount for physically disabled students. College also gives scholarship for needy students but the numbers of students who get scholarship are less.
 

Faculty Rating
In my department we have best faculty. Our faculty members are well educated and open minded. They are there for students during any problem. We have group of three or four students and they have a teacher mentor according to mentor mentee program. Professors teach us on blackboard, PPT, and group discussion along with practical experiment. Faculty members are very approachable. We can go to them with any problem whether it is life, study or family. Professors help us in lab to explore new experiments and to know chemistry behind every experiment.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell present in college which is active. Placement cell helps students in acquiring jobs by contacting with alumni’s and companies. The highest package is like 15 lakh and average package is 6 to 7 lakh per annum.
 

Hostel Rating
There is hostel facility available in college but there are limited seats for each department. All rooms have basic facilities. I am not staying in hostel so I don't know much about hostel experience.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have two blocks in college; one is science block and another in arts block. We have a library where we can access all books and materials that we needed. We also have three well equipped labs and one instrumental lab where we have access to every instruments and chemical needs for our experiment. We also have departmental libraries in each department. There is canteen, one Nescafe lawn, pam and a millet canteen where we get food in comparable prices.
 

Campus Rating
Well overall campus life at Miranda house is very good. I am enjoying every day of my college life. Even today It feels like I joined this college yesterday. There are many Fests and events organized in college during fest season. We also have an annual fest, Garba nights in college. Every society has their own fest where we explore many things and enjoy very much. We also have a workshop and certificate course that is provided by department and college.

    Now, I am in Miranda House College from past 1 year. The loveliest thing about it is the green lawns shinning with lights of the lamps in the evening. The nature of everyone is really helpful here. Miranda House College gives you the exposure and opportunities to explore many things.     Miranda House is a women's college and has a very tight security for making it safe for its students. The college has a very highly educated faculty. All teachers are Ph.D from renowned institutes like IIT's and DU. College has maintained a rank 1st from last 7 years though this year it was ranked 2nd.
