Affordable Quality Education at Gauhati Commerce College

Glad to say that it is one of the best colleges that I have seen in my entire life. I started my journey from school and went to college. It is one of the best Commerce college in the North East, that's why I select this college. This College is one of the colleges that are very active both functionally and culturally. Events and other activities are so well organized that you will get best experience here.

I chose Bachelor of Commerce because I am a Commerce student. This is the core course which is necessary. After completion of Bachelor of Commerce, I'll select Chartered Accountant. The Entry to get the admission in the Gauhati Commerce college is fully merit based. No other options are there. Admission process is simple. Students are asked to bring the required documents on the date of admission. Samarth portal is the online application portal where students can register and apply directly to the college. Bachelor of Commerce is a 3 year Course where 12 exams are held. Sessional exams and semester exams in per Semester. These are for around 100 marks. It is like adventure and a journey of enjoyment. Exams are part of the academics which builds your handling capacity and help you to think vastly.

As it is a Government Institution, the course fee structure is low as compared to private Institution. You have to pay only Rs. 15,000 per year. Tuition fee is around Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 2,500 per annum. Admission fee is totally free for fee waiver students. The paid admission fee is around Rs. 5,000 per semester. In Fee waiver scheme, the students admission fee is totally free. Ishan Uday Scholarship is available. Under this scheme the amount is around Rs 2,40,000.

Faculty members are very good here. Their teaching skills are awesome. Every one of them are kind and responsive. Happy to say that as a Student union member, teachers always coordinate with us. Most of the faculty members are graduated and well knowledgeable. They teach us using blackboards, PPT’s and also group discussions. They try to make us understand the complex things easily. They are very responsive and have abilities to solve the issue easily. We have around 50 to 60 teachers including Head of the Department and around 3,000 students. Our teachers are friendly and they have homie relationship with the students.

Campus is good. We have Buildings for separate Block like MBA, M.Com, B.Com, BBA, BCA, etc. The Campus is overall very good. Gauhati Commerce College occupies around 60, 70 acres land. Per classroom capacity is 150 and we have Air Condition system in each room. We have Library, Seminar Hall, Auditorium, Conference Hall and recently Gauhati Commerce College Student union applied a quotation for field to improve the overall quality experience. We have canteen, Sports, Medical facility, Security and other facility for the students. We the student union organized an Annual College week last week and it was my best experience. Facilities are there and infrastructure is also good. The only thing is our college field which is not in a good condition. We are trying to improve the college field. Academic experience is very good.

I appreciate that Gauhati Commerce College is one of the best Commerce College in the North East. Overall I can give 5 star to my college. College Crowd is too huge. Sometimes we have to hire extra securities. No, we don't have any clubs. We organized Dance, Singing, and art competition recently and events in the special day. We have Annual College Week in February and first week of march. Overall Campus life is very good and I'm proud of my College.
