Overall Rating
The factors that made me choose this Institute is basically the BIT MESRA degree. Being honest overall experience is average not too good. They organize fests but with many restrictions especially for girls. Although I know it’s for safety reasons. The in time in the campus for girls is 5.30 pm and for boys there are no such restrictions. There are a few judgmental people.
 

Academics Rating
I always wanted to do B.Tech CSE so this motivated me to go for the same at Birla Institute of Technology. I got admission through special round conducted here. Admissions are done through JOSAAA, CSAB, and special rounds conducted in the Institute. Exams are conducted quite frequently like 2 quizzes, assignments, and mid semester along with end semester. The quiz papers are designed by Institute itself but the mid semester and end semester papers come from BIT Mesra.
Year wise the fee is around Rs. 4,00,000 to 5,00,000 at Birla Institute of Technology. You can apply for scholarships. For 1st semester, I paid Rs. 2,00,000 and for second semester I paid around Rs. 3,00,000.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are average at Birla Institute of Technology. You need to also study by yourself. Method of teaching used by the teachers is through blackboards and PPT’s. The faculties are available and they are always there to help and for problem solving. The faculties are quite friendly to approach and they even solve doubts. They aren't rude. Self study is really important to brush up on your knowledge and pass the semester.
 

Placement Rating
The placement rate at Birla Institute of Technology in CSE is around 90 percent. From 3rd year you're eligible for the placements. A minimum of 7.5 CGPA is required to sit in placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostels are provided by Birla Institute of Technology. There is one girls hostel and two hostels for boys. The girls and boys hostels are separate. Mess food is average but better in terms of other Institutes. The meals are served 4 times in a day. The entry timing in hostel is 8pm and in morning the timings are 6am. My hostel experience is quite nice.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Only one academic block is there where all classes are conducted. The campus is quite small and locality is quite far from city. The classroom size is good for accommodating 100 students. Library is a good place for studying. It has an Air conditioned study room and access to W-Fi. Labs are quite nice. Canteen is also there and it offers several\l things at reasonable prices. The weather and nature around campus is what I like the most. The mess menu is also quite interesting.
 

Campus Rating
Overall Institute life of Birla Institute of Technology is average. The total strength of B.Tech students is around 800. There are many clubs and currently I'm a part of drama club which is the best here. All occasions are celebrated here and they organize two events which are quite fun. They organize sports events too. They take you to MESRA campus for sports event that are quite fun too. The Institute is not much crowded and this is good as well as bad for some reasons.

    BITS Deoghar is a part of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra which was established in 2007. The cutoff for CSE branch is 90 percentiles. The students get the degree from BIT Mesra.
