An Outline of the Facilities in Amrita School of Engineering

Overall Rating
Amrita School of Engineering actually has pretty good study environment. I feel it has been providing support in every field, right from studies to co-curricular activities. Few more events can be inculcated to have a little more flexibility with the campus. The faculty seems perfect so far and encourage us to do better in our studies. The reason I joined the college is actually because of the amazing placement record.
 

Academics Rating
I joined B.Tech Mechanical Engineering out of passion. To join the college, an excellent rank in AEEE exam is required or a good JEE percentile. The rest of the process is not tough. Exams are very often conducted and they are easier if they are internals. The external exams are tougher than the internal. Since there's a 60 mark internal weightage it's easy to pass and difficult to score.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty teaching in my course is professional and speak very good English. Most of them are PhD holders. They are very well versed in the courses they teach. The teachers usually use blackboards and projectors to maximize teaching output. A group discussion takes place every once in a while to understand the problems students face and actions are taken as per student reviews. Teachers usually expect students to ask more doubts and get them solved. A general class has around 70 students.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facilities are provided by Amrita School of Engineering. Students from outstation can opt for hostel facilities. Hostlers have restrictions on time. After 6:30 PM, they're not allowed unless a specific pass is provided. For other students, transport facilities are available at the maximum Rs. 40,000.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Size of the campus is above 25 hectares in Bangalore almost near Electronic city. Campus is not the best but surely better than an average campus in Bangalore. The canteen does not have non-veg food. I hope in the future, it starts receiving online payments also. Library has all the reference books required. Hence, I personally save money on reference books.
 

Campus Rating
College life on a whole is not bad. The college crowd mostly comprises of Telugu speaking students. Clubs are awesome and I've been a part of the Forge club, which develops mobile, or laptop games. The range of skills that you can gain from these clubs are immense. Many events are regularly hosted by Amrita School of Engineering to entertain the students. Once in a year, fest is also hosted i.e. ‘Dastaan’.

    Amrita is one of the best and top University in India which is the main reason behind I joined the college. And good placements and studies are there. This best choice for me.     This college has the primary criteria of giving importance to human values and tries to care about extracurricular activities but fails in practicing them. Academics over here are strict up to some extent and it is tough to maintain a good CGPA. And people read according to their slabs. Environment and good placements made me join over here....     I am currently studying in Amrita School of Engineering Bangalore, so it’s been one year into this college, and I find this college a bit more disciplined than most of the private colleges. If you really want to focus more about the jobs at the end of the 4th year this is a must try college because this college mostly focuses on studies and a bit of sports.
