Yes, CVR College of Engineering is a good college for engineering, especially for CS, IT, and AI related fields. It has strong placements, decent faculty, and a good learning environment. However, students who want to maximize their career prospects should take extra initiative in learning beyond the curriculum. If you are self-motivated and make use of the resources available, you can have a great experience here. Overall, this college provides good infrastructure, but Wi-Fi and lab upgrades could improve the student experience.

I have chosen Computer Science and Engineering because it has all sub-related branches like-Cyber Security, Data Science, and AI-ML in one course. To be selected in CSE branch, you have to get below 10,000 ranks in EAPCET exam. Admission process is the same process as all EAMCET colleges in Telangana. For every two months you have, exams. It offers solid academic programs, especially in Computer Science, Electronics, and AI-related fields. However, some students feel that a few subjects rely too much on rote learning rather than conceptual clarity.

If you get below 10,000 ranks in EAPCET exam irrespective of any caste, you get scholarship of full fees. Otherwise, You have paid 1.50 LPA. During admission, you have to pay Rs. 10,000 rupees for admission. If you want to have Bus facility it's charges is Rs. 40,000 per year irrespective of distance from the college.

Almost all the faculty has minimum 5 to 10+ years of experience. Almost all of them have completed their PhD in their specialization. While some professors are approachable and helpful, others may not be as engaging. The curriculum is well structured, but self-learning is essential, especially for students who want to get into AI- ML, or high-paying tech jobs. The faculty is knowledgeable, but like in most colleges. The teaching quality can vary from professor to professor. Many professors encourage project-based learning, which helps in practical understanding. You can rise a complaint against them, the HOD of that particular department will look at the problem that students facing and they try to clear it.

The placement opportunities at CVR College of Engineering are one of its biggest strengths. Many students from CSE, IT, and AI-related branches secure placements in top companies like Amazon, TCS, Infosys, and Accenture. The highest packages go up to 57 LPA, but those are rare. For most students, the average package is around 5 to 8 LPA, which is still decent. The placement cell provides training, but students need to put in their own effort to land top-tier jobs. As you can see, the average package is 5 to 8 LPA but it is not enough in this generation. If you are good at skills you can get high, paid job. It is better in placement as compared to all other colleges in EAMCET.

Yes, the college offers residential facilities. The girl’s and boy’s hostels are separate. There are 2 blocks (100 rooms) for boys and 2 blocks (100 rooms )for girls. The hostel facilities are average to decent, with options for single, double, and triple-sharing rooms. Rooms are functional but not very spacious, and some students feel that they could be maintained in better way. The mess food is good but not exceptional. It offers a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Wi-Fi is available, but internet speed is inconsistent, especially during peak hours. The hostel provides a decent study environment, but serious learners often use the library. The hostel has strict rules, including a curfew, which some students find restrictive. Outings are allowed but need prior permission. Many students from Third year prefer PGs or rented apartments near the college for better freedom and facilities.

The 32-acre campus is well maintained, with clean surroundings and well-designed academic blocks. The campus is located 20 KM far from Lbnagar (Mangalpalli, Ibrahimpatnam). The classrooms are spacious and well equipped. The seating capacity of each classroom is for 64 students, but some labs could use upgrades with newer equipment. The library is a major highlight, with 35,000+ books and IEEE journals, making it a great place for research and study. The college provides bus services covering major areas, which is convenient for non-hostlers. Canteen serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, offering snacks, meals, and beverages. Food quality is decent but not exceptional. Prices are reasonable, and many students prefer it for quick meals. The college has a basic medical facility with a first-aid center and an on-campus nurse. For serious health issues, students are referred to nearby hospitals. 24/7 ambulance service is available, ensuring quick medical assistance when needed. The campus has a cricket ground, football field, basketball, and badminton courts, but some indoor sports facilities are limited. Ever year in February Engineering premier league is conducted in the college premises. My favorite place in the college is cricket ground.

The college life is good with technical and sports events, but cultural and social activities could be better. Students who are serious about academics and career-focused but still want a decent college life experience. The college organizes ‘Cuenca’ (Technical Fest) and ‘EPL’ (Engineering Premier League: a sports event), which are popular among students. Various student clubs, including GDSC (Google Developer Student Club), robotics clubs, and cultural societies, provide opportunities to learn and engage beyond academics. However, cultural activities are not as extensive as in some other colleges. The environment is academically focused, but students still find time for fun activities. Since it’s not a fully residential campus, many students commute, making the campus feel less lively after classes.
