TIIT Kolkata: Good Institute for BBA

Overall Rating
TIIT Kolkata is a good institute for courses like BBA and BCA. I heard a lot about it from many people and became interested to join this institute. It has a great faculty and infrastructure, which also played major factors while choosing this one. It has great placement opportunities than other institutes. It has a big library with a wide range of books to study from. Overall, it is a nice institute to study from.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen the course BBA because I have heard earlier that this institute has a great faculty for BBA. I chose this course because I want to pursue MBA in future. It has eligibility criteria of being 12th pass from any stream. Admission process was to visit the institute and to fill a form for the course. In one year, there are 2 semesters. The academics prepare students quite well for real life challenges.
The fee for BBA is Rs. 40,000 per semester. During admission, Rs. 50,000 was asked to paid, in which fee for first semester was also included. There is no special discount for special category students. SVMCM scholarship is available in the institute, which provides Rs. 12,000 a year.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are quite nice and decent. They do teach well and have a great knowledge about the course. The background of the faculty members mostly includes PhD, MBA, and other higher qualifications. Their method of teaching involves PPTs, whiteboard, etc. They do solve problem whenever any student has any problem regarding any topic of any subject of the course. In my batch, there are 170 to 200 students and teachers are around 10. My experience with the faculty is good. They are quite approachable and sweet.
 

Placement Rating
The placement opportunities in TIIT Kolkata are good. Companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc. do visit the institute for recruitment. An average package offered is of 1.6 to 2 LPA and highest is 4 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, TIIT Kolkata provides hostel facilities. It has many rooms and they are quite nice. Boy’s and girl’s hostels are separate. The mess food needs to be improved though. Hotel fee is Rs. 10,000 per month.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus’ structure is nice and quite big. Campus size is a bit small. The classrooms are quite big. It has a huge seating capacity. It has a big library with wide range of books in it. It has a big auditorium and medical facilities. Library is my favorite place as a part of the infrastructure. I like to spend time there, as there is always silence and a great place to gain knowledge.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life is quite decent and good. The institute is quite crowded as it has many students. The institute arranges many fests and events like freshers, farewell, Holi, Saraswati Puja, etc. The campus life is good, cherishing, and enjoyable. The infrastructure, campus, and faculty everything is nice. There are no clubs as such in the institute. The institute fests are too good many singers and celebrities are invited. Overall, the campus life is nice.
