Silicon Institute of Technology is a great choice for students looking for a balance of academics and extra - curricular activities and placements opportunities. It is a recommended institution for aspiring students seeking a promising career path. The institute offers well structured curriculum that balances theoretical and practical learning. There are ample opportunities for research and project based learning. The attendance policies are strict as compared to other colleges. Silicon Institute of Technology focuses on practical learning and prepares students for industry demands.
 

Academics Rating
Students choose Silicon Institute of Technology for their quality education and reputation. Institute is well known for its strong academic curriculum and experienced faculty. Silicon Institute of Technology takes students in two ways: - OJEE and University Level Counselling. Candidate can apply online through institute official website. Candidate must secure more than 40% marks in 12th. There are two exams in each semester. Difficulty level was general.
Tuition Fees: - Rs. 1, 05,000 per semester, Hostel Fees: - Rs. 20,000 per semester and Mess Fees: - Rs. 22,500 per semester. In you paid entire year fees in the beginning of the odd semester you will get 5% rebate in fees. Scholarship is available for meritorious students. For JEE rank 0-25000 amount provided will be Rs. 75,000 per semester, JEE rank 25000-50000 (Rs. 50,000 per semester), and JEE rank 50000 - 75000 (Rs. 25,000 per semester).
 

Faculty Rating
Most faculty members at Silicon Institute of Technology are highly qualified with many Ph.D in their respective fields. They use blend of traditional teaching and modern teaching. Faculty takes interactive sessions. All classrooms have blackboards and projectors. In starting of the course one teacher (Faculty Advisor) is allotted to each student. For any problem academic and non academic you can discuss with your faculty advisor. The faculties are interactive and helpful in nature and provide dedicated consultancy period for doubt solving.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell is active, bringing top companies for campus recruitment. Major recruiter includes Infosys, TCS, DXC, Cognizant, Capgemini and many more, offering decent salary packages. The average salary package offered is Rs. 5, 00,000- Rs. 5, 80,000 with some students securing high paying jobs in reputed companies like FLIPKART, IBM, and more. Internship is also encouraged, providing real - world exposure to the students.
 

Hostel Rating
There two boys hostel and one girls hostel in Silicon Institute of Technology campus. Hostel rooms are spacious and you can choose AC / NON AC according to you comfort. Separate veg and non-veg mess are available. Food quality is acceptable. Three meals are provided in a day. Hostel entry timing is from 5 AM to 11 PM. Hostel facilities are good and washrooms are well cleaned and environment was positive.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is well equipped with modern classrooms, libraries, labs, and wi-fi connectivity. Campus spread over 18 acre in Bhubaneswar. The institute also has well-stocked library and research labs. However, some areas such as sports facilities and cafeteria, hygiene could be improved. Silicon Institute of Technology has three academic building, one auditorium and training halls. Sky Lab is situated in middle of the campus for airy environment that helps students for learning.
 

Campus Rating
The Silicon Institute of Technology hosts various cultural & tech fests and extracurricular activities, making the environment vibrant and engaging. Clubs and societies promote the diverse interests of the students including tech, music, art, entrepreneurship development. Spark up summit is organizing to promote entrepreneurship development. Zygon was main cultural fest of the college. Nirman Odisha top tech fest organizes by silicon. My experience in campus is good. All the seniors I met are really good and helpful in nature.

    Students are taking admission in silicon in MCA course in the basis of OJEE rank. The rank must be under 600 and I got selected on the basis of that. The average package in this college is about 5-6 lakh so many students want to take admission on that. And this college is one of the best institutes in Odisha.... Read Full Review

    I took admission on the basis of Odisha JEE rank here and the cutoff rank is below 600 and around 60-70 seats are there. The students are studying here are also clear CAT exam most of the times. So, this is the best college among all the colleges in Odisha. So that I took admissions in this college.... Read Full Review

    The college is placed near the cyber hub of Bhubaneswar with a very good transport facility. The college atmosphere is very good and best for self-study and the academic is one of the best in the city.
