MGGC Andaman: Fee Structure and Scholarships

The Mahatma Gandhi Government College in Mayabunder is affiliated to Pondicherry University. It offer various courses. I chose this college because it is nearby to home and has very good teaching facilities. I filled all other college forms but I choose this college because it is very eco friendly and students can focus on study. There are 6 undergraduate courses in different disciplines. The campus of the college is rural.

I am very much interested in economics because I want to become a teacher. This is the main reason for getting admission in this college. The eligibility criteria is very simple here, they choose category wise students no one is left for admission in this college. The admission is done by counseling process and online mode. The exam of my course is semester wise. In three years there are six semesters and each semester has two internal. The academics prepare us for how to speak and build confidence for stage. They give us strength to do big things.

The fee of my course is Rs. 1,155 per year and semester exam fees is Rs.1,500. They provide scholarships also for OBC students. The scholarship is provided of Rs. 10,000 per year.

In my course the faculty members are very good. They teach us very well and they are highly educated. The faculty members also are in my native place so they can understand very well. The mode teaching is very good. They can teach us as well as ask questions. They take seminar presentations to enhance students ability. Their problem solving ability is very good and they are familiar with students. The teacher-student ratio is 5 teachers and 60+ students. My bonding with teachers is very decent and good.

The Mahatma Gandhi Government college in Mayabunder offers residential facilities for both boys and girls. I do not stay in hostel as I am a day scholar but I know that boys and girls hostels are separate.

The college features a well furnished auditorium with a capacity of over 600, catering to cultural function and interdepartmental debates and discussions. The college offer separate boys and girls hostel, a canteen, staff quarters, and a guest house.

In Mahatma Gandhi Government college in Mayabunder overall experience is very good. I enjoy the all facilities of this college. The college crowd is also very good. Most of the students come and get admission in this college to study and make their future bright. The college celebrates annual function, sports Day, Women's day and so one. The college also provides NCC training to enhance their ability, and some other activities like competitions, etc.
