JKLU Jaipur Offers One of the Best Campus Experiences

JK Lakshmipat University has given me a great experience as it provides project based learning for my career growth and has a great campus life which enhanced my personality. The key reason for me to select this university apart from all the universities in Jaipur city is that it has a great crowd of students and it offers only selected courses. The main reason for me to choose JK Lakshmipat University was that my parents wanted me in Jaipur only so the best option I could find by completing all my researches was JK Lakshmipat University.

I prepared for JEE and I was from Science and Math background and I always wanted to pursue my career in Computer Science only so the main moto for enrolling for this course was to complete my Bachelor of Computer Science only. I researched and found that by the end of my bachelors, due to its project based learning I would be able to create many projects required for my placement. Entry here is very simple as the eligibility criteria is just that one must have completed their schooling that is 12th from Science Math background and has given JEE and I have secured some average score in both of them. If you have scored like above average marks in either 10+2 or JEE percentile then you could avail the scholarships provided by the JK Lakshmipat University. The admission process is very simple you just have to fill the admission form and you can get entry in this university. the frequency of the exams are like each week we have some quizzes and in each semester we have two mid semester and one end term. Weekly quizzes help one to secure marks continuously. I feel the continuous evolution system is a great opportunity for students to score marks. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it prepares you not only for GATE examination but also for your industry level preparation, as it covers mostly all the topics which are asked during interviews and placements. Thus preparing one for their real life challenges.

The yearly fee for the course is Rs. 2, 36, 000, increasing by 10% annually, with each semester costing half the yearly amount. This fee includes all expenses except for a one-time registration fee of Rs. 1,000. For students opting for on-campus housing, the boys' hostel fee for triple-sharing accommodation is Rs. 1,90,000 per semester. The total course fee, factoring in the yearly increment, amounts to approximately Rs. 11,00,000 over four years. Scholarships are available ranging from 100% to 25%, depending on a student’s performance in 10th, 12th, and JEE percentile. However, engaging in unfair means (UFM) or any violation of university rules can lead to the cancellation of scholarships.

Faculties at JK Lakshmipat University are average but very helpful. They are though well qualified. Mostly teacher’s use PPTs for explains the topics. They just read from the PPTs and expect students to learn. Many a days in classes like AR/VR the teachers just ask her to use YouTube and create assignments. Some teachers also use blackboards and explain things thoroughly. Math faculties are great over here. Also, we have a CCCT course every semester which helps us in preparing for our life after university that is for work place and those teachers are brilliant. Teacher to student ratio is quite good enough. We have two teachers for each course for every class. As I have mentioned above teachers are well qualified. If they are approached they help students in a very good way. Like in every other university some teachers are very good and some of them are strict.

100% students are placed but it is not like the best placements. Highest package offered was off-campus of 36 LPA, average is 6-7 LPA and lowest package offered is 3LPA. Top recruiters were from some Blockchain companies. 100% students were provided with great internships at various great companies where students learnt a lot. Blockchain and cyber security roles were offered the best. But some students still find it very difficult to get placed as university often brings sales like jobs for take department. One must be prepared for Off campus placements as well by building their LinkedIn profile pretty good.

We have triple sharing, double sharing and single sharing hostel for boys and girls separately and the common room facilities are pretty good. We have a snooker table, television, table tennis table, etc. for hostellers. The hostels are in the campus itself. So the committees or the clubs in the universities organise some movie nights or some activities for hostels for their nightlife improving the quality of the campus life. Mess food is average I would say it is quite hygienic and we get the breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening snacks is well. The food is better than most of the universities. We have a 24/7 canteen for a university which even delivers food to the rooms of the hostels at night. Girls and boys can enter each other’s hostel's common room and sit there. For all students the night timings are 10 PM for main gate entry but students can roam around in the campus till 2:00 A.M. Hostels are pretty good and wardens are pretty chill. the experience at hostels is good enough.

Facilities offered at JK Lakshmipat University are top notch as the whole campus has Wi-Fi for everyone, classrooms are literally like just expected in a university, and library has all kinds of books ranging from novels of all sorts to course books for all courses. Hostels are available for one, two, three occupancy with AC or non AC preference. Mess food is average but comparatively to other universities I think our mess food is better. Canteen is now just great with cheap prices. Also, we have vending machines. Sports facilities are very average. Classrooms are good enough as we see in the movies and all and each classroom has AV or projectors. The authorities are planning to build auditorium and some sports grounds as well. You have a health center, transport facilities, security is everywhere. My favorite place would be the library. As a LRC have all the reading resources for us it does complements our academic experience.

Campus life is good. Only, the clubs can be more active to improve the campus life. Also the fest can be hosted at larger level. University crowd is pretty good this is the best part about our university. They are various competitions for various activities; almost for everything we have a club. I am part of the coding club, sports club and music club. Extracurricular activities are organised such as storytelling, poetry, music nights, movie screenings, sports events, poster making competitions, debates, coding contest, etc. annual sports are known as SPARDHA and our cultural face is known as SUBRAM which are the great fests but the level can be enhanced in future. PARICHAY is the name of a fresher’s event and the best part about the university is its orientation program that is Aarambh for freshly joined students. Campus life can be improved but I would say it is quite good enough for a private university like JK Lakshmipat University.
