ATAL Incubation Center at PTU Pondicherry Transforming Ideas into Reality

The Overall experience in my University was very good. The standard of education that I'm getting is affordable and value for the money. The student culture in the University is very diverse and has students from every state of India. As it has quality students, there is more competition on studies so it pushes every student to work hard to achieve their goals. The faculty members of the University are very experienced and have their own way of teaching. The campus life is very joyful. There are more festivals being organized. The alumni community of this University is very strong and they can help us with internships, projects and jobs.

I got the course by reservation counseling by merit marks. I chose this course because it has equal scope same as other departments. The eligibility criteria for this University is that you have to complete SSLC and HSC with good marks or you can get into using your Diploma Degree in Second Year by Lateral Entry. The admission process is done by two way, one is state reservation and other is All India Reservation. This course has eight semesters and exam will happen in every six months.

The fees structure is for every year which is Rs. 13,581/-. During the admission of first year, the fee will be Rs. 30,000 (including admission fees). The tuition fees, sports, internet comes under main fees. There will be scholarship schemes of SC/ST, PWD students.

All the faculties are Ph.D graduates in their own specification and have more than 10+ years of experience. For each department there are 20-25 staff members and there will be 3-5 contract faculties. Their method of teaching is PPT's and also by conventional blackboard. All the Faculty members are specialized in their own regimes and have their excellent way of teaching. The teacher-Student ratio was 1:50. The Faculty members are very well socialized and interactive. We can gather more resources from them.

The Placement cell is called as Training and Placement (T&P) cell which is combined with ATAL incubation center. There will be separate fees for participating in the placement drive which will cost around Rs. 5,000 and you can get offers from the cell.

I'm a Day scholar in my University so I don’t have any idea about hostel stay.

The Size of the campus is very spacious and large with more greeneries and hangout places. The size of the Campus is 210 acres with basic facilities such as library, labs, spacious classrooms and Sports grounds. The classrooms have seating arrangements like one desk for two Students. There is a big open air theatre and auditorium that can accommodate more than 600+ students. The Public Transport access is good but the roads inside the campus are not so good.

The overall campus life is pretty enjoyable with great friends and good teachers. The college offers peaceful campus life. There will be normal amount of crowd inside the University and the outsiders are not allowed inside hence the students feel safer. There are many clubs like design clubs, photography clubs, disciplinary committee, NSS social service, robotics club, web developing clubs, etc. The ATAL incubation center is very useful for the students for turning their innovative idea into a real project. There will be a main festival called as REJIOUR which is done in grand manner with chief guest for film industries.
