Overall Rating
It has very good atmosphere. It is a government funded college so there is a lot of freedom for the students. I got seat in general category in CENTAC. There are only some limited scholarships. Yeah there is a training and placement cell. The placement depends on the course and passion because there are a lot of software companies that visit our campus. For the core students there will be less companies.
 

Academics Rating
I got the seat through CENTAC. In Puducherry they will calculate the cut off using some formula and I just applied for the preferred college and the course. Depending upon the availability and the seats they will allot a college and course. I got the seat in general category in CENTAC. So there are only some limited scholarships.
The annual tuition fee per year is Rs. 13,851 for 2nd, 3rd and final year, and for first year students the fee is Rs. 32,101.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties here at Puducherry Technological University have good experience and are all excepts. There are two semesters in a year. The college also facilitates the students with summer and winter vacations between semester classes. There are a lot of clubs in the campus. They do their work mostly during the college cultural. Sometimes they conduct awareness. They also organize events. They work in the cultural committee. There are a lot of clubs in the campus.
 

Placement Rating
Yeah, there is a training and placement cell at Puducherry Technological University. It depends on the course that you have pursued. There are a lot of software companies that visit the campus for placement. Comparatively companies from core industries don’t come for offering opportunities.
 

Hostel Rating
No I don't live in hostel as my home is near to the college. I travel by bus or bike depending on the availability. I have to catch 2 buses to reach Puducherry Technological University but by bike it is easier.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are a lot of free hours between the lectures. We used to play cricket and roam around the college, Puducherry Technological University during those hours. Roads in my college are mediocre.
 

Campus Rating
Yeah, Puducherry Technological University is very good and it gets amplified because of my friends and surroundings. It is enjoyable. My college campus is big so I don't feel like it is crowded even though there are average 550 students per department. There are a lot of clubs in the campus.

    I am writing this review on my own experience and it may differ from one to another. This government engineering university has decent infrastructure and low fees. This university is a good choice for the students who are economically weaker. There is no ragging here. Puducherry Technological University has a good environment for studies.     Pondicherry Engineering College is heaven for the students who step into college for their Bachelor's Degree. I chose Mechanical Engineering through CENTAC Merit results. Here mechanical is widely considered and placements are also up to the mark. I recommend other students who completed their HSC, to choose Pondicherry Technological University for their higher studies so that they get an enormous amount of knowledge in their respective degrees....     Overall Rating
    Life at PEC would be a more fascinating one because of the freedom provided there for the students. They would get detailed knowledge on their respected course they choose. The most important thing which attracted mine was their method of teaching. The teachers here are PHD hence they will provide all their knowledge to us.
