GCET Greater Noida: Campus, Crowd, & Many More

Overall Rating
My overall experience is good. The college offer well balanced in campus life with good infrastructure, exposure, placements, and attendance criteria. The best thing I would like to point out is that you don't need to maintain 75 % even. If you have 60%, you are good to go. it’s not like other colleges, which don't even have a campus area and don't allow students to go out before lectures are over. It has playgrounds, canteens, and beautiful lush green campus. One more thing, I would like to add is that you will find people from all over India, so it’s a good place if you want exposure.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech in IT branch because I do not have any other option I got 2-lakh rank in JEE Main and I am glad I was admitted into it. There are no specific requirements if you prefer taking admission through management quota. Admission process is quite simple, you have to visit college, if you want admission on 12th marks basis or you can apply online for UPTAC counseling. Yeah I would like to add this thing exams are conducted every month. Syllabus can be updated.
You have to pay complete year fee on first day. It’s Rs. 1,15,000 for a year and Rs. 8,000 extra for conducting examination, which goes directly to the act. It also charges Rs. 1,000 for ID card. They are no more hidden charges. There is no discount provided at all and I have never got to hear or see someone getting scholarship from college side but I would say it’s cheaper than other colleges in Noida.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is average. Background of teachers is good. Many of them have graduated from top IITs. Their problem solving is good. If you individually ask any doubt, they will help you the teacher student ratio is somewhat around 1 teacher per 80 students.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a separate placement cell. Students gets placed but only deserving once. They will teach you soft skills from the very start so that you don't have problems later during placement interviews. They also organize seminars for helping students in placement related concerns. Microsoft, Amazon, & Infosys do visit the campus and take students at good package but only a few once average packages offered is around 4 Lakh Per Annum.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, GCET Greater Noida has in campus hostel but you will not get it during admissions time, as it is fully booked. It is very small for boys but girl’s hostel is big enough. It has contract with an out campus hostel for boys. During festivals, hostel do arrange some events to celebrate but on small scale. Both girl’s and boy’s hostels are separate. As always mess, food is average not so good not so bad just okay. Hostel fee keeps on changing. For now, it is Rs. 1,35,000 for a year for 2-seater ac room. there are no strict rules and the closing time is 10 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 5 blocks in GCET Greater Noida. Campus is around 19 acres. One best thing is that it is just in front of metro station so it has great transport facilities. Classrooms are average ACs are installed. Around 80 students can sit at one time. Library, labs, hall, & auditorium are available and are really up to the mark, I would say. Canteens and sports grounds such as basketball, cricket, and badminton are available. College also provides bus facilities. Some of the things can be improved though.
 

Campus Rating
I would rate my overall campus 4 out of 5. Crowd is diverse, although many of them belong to Uttar Pradesh but there are students from all over the country. Yes, there are clubs for everything but you are not allowed to participate in them in first years. I have joined marketing club and my experience is good until now. College organizes 1 to 2 events in a month, I would say. Campus life is chill, you can enjoy with your peers in grounds.

    As you enter the campus its feels like that you have entered in hi-fi college as the college have big campus with grounds, library and cafeteria. I have chosen this college as I got Fee Wavier in CSE core branch. Also, my friends taken admission in this college whose total fees is about Rs. 1,15,603 yearly which is much affordable than other colleges in Greater Noida.     The college is Well Developed and has proper infrastructure. The Professors are well educated and are supportive. The college has a big library and has many opportunities for all the students like students can participate in clubs and events and into extra curriculum activities like sports and singing and dancing and hackathons and many more.     I have already spent 3 years in GCET Greater Noida, as I am a 4th year student in Mechanical department. My overall experience was like a rollercoaster with many difficulties. but at every moment, there were faculties and my friends to guide me through the problems.     Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology is affiliated to AKTU. It is situated at knowledge park 2 in greater Noida, UP. It is the best college amongst all the colleges situated in greater Noida. It is best at academics, placements, and infrastructure and in all other aspects like campus life also, among all engineering colleges situated near it.
