DTU Delhi: Academics, Placements, and Campus Life

My overall experience at DTU New Delhi is awesome. I chose this university because of its start-up culture and of course because of its location. Others can also go for this university for the same and for the placements, as its placements are good. The calmness you will get in this university is relaxing and I don’t think you will get it anywhere else. The placement rate is quite impressive with highest package of 1.6 CPA.

I chose Civil Engineering because of my interest in the same and the quality of academics in DTU, you have to give JEE Main to be eligible, and then you have to apply for the counseling. After the rounds of counseling, you will be allotted the university if your rank will match accordingly. Each year, there are four exams that prepare you well for the real life challenges as for now.

The fee for my chosen course is 10 Lakh (4 years), including tuition, admission, and registration fees, but excluding the hostel and mess fees. For SC/ST students, there are compensations in fee and scholarships for students with less family income but you have to apply and go for the interviews for these financial aids by the university. The hostel fee for the whole four-year course is total of around 4 Lakh.

Faculties are quite knowledgeable and helpful. The faculty members are educated. Teachers teach in blackboard with PPTs too. The teacher to student ratio at the university is like for every 60 students, there is a professor for each subject. Faculty members are very helpful and approachable. They give their WhatsApp number for doubts. Some faculties are friendly and some are strict but all of them help us during semester exams. The problem solving ability of faculty is good.

DTU New Delhi does have hostel facilities for both students and faculties.

The campus’ academic blocks are quite impressive. The campus size is around 150 acres. The campus is divided into different departments consisting of twin towers, which is the department of Computer Science and IT. Different classrooms have different capacities and every classroom has AV aids. Libraries, labs seminar, Hall, Auditorium, conference halls, all are there. There are many franchisees like Domino’s, Nescafe, & Kit Kat in the university itself. A security is quite tight. The sports complex has many sports grounds. My favorite place in the university is OAT. It’s quite the centre of the university.

Campus life is quite awesome as the campus is full of greenery. Campus is not so crowded excluding the time of fest and all. there are many clubs and societies in the university. I am part of Entrepreneurship cell. There are many extracurricular activities organized by the university like tech fest and sports events. Every February, there is a fest called ‘Engi fest’, which is the main fest of DTU New Delhi.
