Campus and Hostel Facilities at KLU Guntur

The University atmosphere is just amazing. The people can utilize all these for good. Education is good. It has good NIRF ranking and placements too. We have many opportunities here like startups. Here it's not only about Education. Once you get into the University you will get to know about all the things in life. You can learn life lesson and identify the people who you can trust and all. It's near my place and good University too. The culture to collaborate with all kind of people. I'm every semester the classmates changes which helps to build the community for good communication.

I chose B.Tech in Computer Science. When I completed my intermediate 2nd year exams, I immediately applied for KL Entrance exam. I got a good rank and at that time AI and DS are the trending technologies. To get admission we have many ways to enroll 1.KL Entrance Exam 2.JEE & EAMCET Ranks 3. Intermediate Marks 4.Donations. Every year we have nearly 3 to 4 phases. Here the learning is Outcome based learning. For each topics covered by the faculty members it has some outcome. Everything about the course is clearly given in the handbook. The clubs help you to apply the class knowledge into real world. We can participate in various Hackathon, Conferences and many more. Moreover recently we have new learning method SOCIAL IMMERSIVE LEARNING, which is conducted after the regular classes where we can learn the extra technologies we have interest in. It is also considered as a Credited course.

Fee varies from branch to branch and year to year. For Engineering allied courses the fees is around 2.5L. The fee varies from student to student like based on the starting concession. The important point to be noted is for Engineering that the students need to maintain 9 or above 9 CGPA in every individual semester. Else the concession policy will be cancelled and for the next semester you have to pay the full fee. For admission it costs around 15k. If you know any higher authority in the University and if you consult them, they will help to get good concession. My friends got good concession through those people recommendations.

You can opt the faculty you like for the course. The faculties and how they are teaching here is amazing. They have really good knowledge and experiences. Maximum all the faculties continuously do the research work. The teaching method is through PPT’s, group decisions, JAM, surprise quiz, AMLs and all these helps you. Faculty members will guide you and solve the problems. They help to solve things by providing the resources. The faculties are always available. We can message them if you are facing any issues regarding course, timetable and all. The ratio is, for every 30 students we have 1 faculty.

The placements are like 90%. Here not every candidate will get good packages like 12 LPA and above. This year the placements are okay but many are placed with packages 5-6 LPA. To get placed we have to opt the CRT which will cost around 35,000. We have the programming website like code chef, leetcode and all where we can learn the courses and participate in contests. Many interview questions are from here. We have many high reputation companies that visit our campus like TCS, Infosys, IBM, JPMORGAN, HP,TECH MAHENDRA, CAPGEMINI and many more. This year the highest package offered is 40 LPA and the average is 8 LPA.

Yes, we have the hostel facilities. We have in campus and out campus hostels. All the Girls hostels are as follows KanchanaGanga, Himalaya. For the international candidates we have out campus hostels not for all but a few. We have Tuplis, Vindhya, Aravali, Staff Quarters for Boys. We can have the access to hostel gyms, theater, Swimming pools, Beauty Parlor. We have the indoor where we can play indoor and outdoor games. We have 2, 3, 4 room facilities. We have normal, deluxe, super deluxe rooms. Right now the fee for 3 sharing is around Rs. 1,45,000 per year. We have installment facilities. Everyday morning we have 4 varieties of food for breakfast. Bread to make the sandwich, Eggs and sprouts. For Lunch we have a special rice, white rice, Dal, curry, fries snacks, curd and salad. For Snacks we have tea, Milk and different variety on every day. For dinner on a weekly basis we have chicken twice on Wednesday and Friday. Egg on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. On Sunday we have Biryani, chicken for lunch and for dinner we have sambhar rice.

We have 6 blocks, F, C, M, L, E, SDC & R&D blocks. Fed is mainly for the Freshers of Engineering. C for computer Science students. M for Mechanical and Civil students. EEE for fine arts, L is the library block and R&D is for the ECE students. All the branch students can go to all the blocks as per the given timetable. In every block we have canteens. SDC is for the Non Engineering students like Agriculture, BCA, MCA, BBA, MBA and BBA-LLB. We have the resilience offers to monitor all the students who are not following the rules. We have good medical support. For Day scholars we have the University bus facilities. Current favorite spot of mine is Hostel library and hostel’s walking area. Early Morning it's amazing. I love capturing the moon. I usually take the time-lapse of the sky in every 2 to 3 weeks. The ground view from the hostel looks amazing. The Greenery is just amazing.

Campus is always filled with Greenery. It has a Cool and Clam Climate. You will see the real beauty on the Rainy days. Many people click pictures of it because of the surroundings. Frankly speaking this year the crowd to high as compared to the year I joined here. In the interval all the roads are filled with huge mass crowd. Coming to the clubs we have many Techs and Non-Tech related Clubs. We have Student body SAC (Student Activity Center). The best of these clubs is that we can explore our area of interest more. We can share and educate the students with the knowledge to the people who are seeking to learn. We have the NCC and NSS, The people who are part of NCC will get 21 Credits for 4years of the course. Even they get the high priority during the placements. We have SWACHA and every outreach is planned to nearby schools, Universities, villages to educate them. Fests are amazing. We have 2 Main fests that are Samyak and Surabhi. Here we have technical and non technical events. The last of any fest ends with the DJ Night. During these fests the canteens in hostels are closed.
