Placement Training Programs at DYPCOEI Pune

My experience till date at the college is very good. At first I wasn't very sure about how the college would be, while looking at the images and information I gathered from Google. And also I had not planned to take admission in this particular college. I was allotted this college based on my CET marks and after visiting the college personally for admission process and after interacting with teachers there my confidence rose and I got pretty sure that "why not this college”. There is so such thing that makes this college different from others but I personally like this college because of the place where it is situated, away from city and surrounded by mountains and greenery. If someone wishes to opt for Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Engineering and Innovation Varale I would really appreciate their choice because this college really bursts your myth once you enter it and your opinion totally changes from the one you made after searching about this college on Google. Also the college is now planning to add 2 more branches from next year so you all can totally look up to it.

I am a Second Year student from Computer Engineering (CE) department. We also have one more department named Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AIDS). The criterion for admission in CE department is through CET or JEE entrance exam. I took admission on the basis of CET. The cutoff of CET for CE at my time was 89 percentile. Admission process of the college is very smooth. The faculty available at my time during admission helped me a lot. There are 2 exams per semester-mid sem (30 marks) and end sem (70 marks). Apart from these university exams, college also arranges unit test and prelim exams. These college arranged exams helps us a lot during university exams as we are prepared beforehand and we only need to revise and we can concentrate more on important topics.

The college fees for general category are Rs. 85,000 – Rs. 90,000 which is not that big compared to other colleges. Since I took admission through OBC category, my fees got reduced to half the amount of original fees which is Rs. 45,000. Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Engineering and Innovation Varale has the facility of paying fees in installments which is very convenient. The college offers scholarship based on different categories and the amount depends on same. The college also offers a special scholarship for female students which are around Rs. 50,000. Overall the fees structure of college is very nice and the tuition fees, stationary and medical amount all are included in the total fees of the college.

The faculty assigned right now to me is very helping, supportive and friendly. All the faculty members are well educated and trained in their respective fields. The method of teaching varies from faculty-to-faculty. For theory subjects, we go for PPTs and for subjects where solving is required white board is used. For better understanding of some topics in particular group discussions are also held. Mostly there is no chance of having doubts as the language used by teachers is very simple and they also use Marathi or Hindi to make the concept clearer. But if doubt occurs then teacher are available all the time to resolve them. They explain the same topic again and again by giving various examples related to real life until the doubt gets resolved. My bonding with the faculty is very friendly. They guide me and motivate me to try different courses. Since my background is related to coding, the teachers give me various tasks regarding same and help me out where ever I get stuck.

The college has an average placement. Not all students get placed but yes there are students who got placement in nice and renowned companies. There is a placement cell in DYPCOEI Pune. It offers various training programs like aptitude test training, coding training, etc. Also demo interview sessions are arranged to see to it where more improvement is required. The average package offered by the recruiters is 4 - 4.5 lakh and the highest package till date is of 7 lakh. The renowned companies that have been vesting our college are Amazon, Infosys, Tata, etc.

Since I travel to college, I don't stay at hostel. But there is separate girls and boys hostel building. Nice amenities are provided in hostel rooms and the most important among them is Wi-fi. The mess food is hygienic and enough. It offers 4 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner). I have no idea of hostel fees. The basic rules are followed in hostel like if you are going out for some days you need to make an application to the warden stating the reason beforehand. The hostel gate closes strictly at 10 pm.

Infrastructure of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Engineering and Innovation Varale is little different from other colleges. It is somewhat in a triangle-shaped spread over a land of 3.5 acres. It has 2 floors and a basement. The college building is under construction. Different labs are there for different subjects. There is one big library which contains different rooms, seating place, book shelf. There are 2 seminar halls one on each floor. Canteen is also well placed and is hygienic. There are indoor and outdoor sports available. Medical room for emergency is also available. Talking about security, students are not allowed to enter the college without uniform and ID card which is actually a right thing. College is nicely piped on each and every floor in case of fire. My favorite part of college infrastructure is library since all my friends from different department gather there and do group study. There are many numbers of classrooms with a capacity of 100 students in each class. The facility that complements is availability of Wi-fi throughout the campus area and nice number of labs with computer and laptops.

My campus life is very happening leaving apart some days where I get annoyed due to regular travelling. The college crowd is good enough on regular basis but during exam times it is worth watching. There are number of clubs formed and handled very well. I am not a part of any club. But these clubs carry out various activities like campus cleaning, visiting orphanage and old age homes, adventurous treks, etc. The college has a student council which looks after all the events. Number of events takes place the whole year like fresher's party, annual fests, various days, sports week, etc. Also festivals are celebrated in a very nice way maintaining the audacity. Active participation of students, teachers and other staff is also seen in all these activities. I am enjoying my campus life fully here at "Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Engineering and Innovation".
