Life at PDEU

Overall Rating
The college life is great and my overall experience was good. The company's coming to the college are few and do not offer that much salary as expected, which is the negative point of this college. The factors due to which I joined this college were basically, like I wanted to pursue my B.Tech degree from a decent private college as I was not able to clear JEE advance. So I chose PDEU in Gujarat. It is among the best college and is much better than Nirma. The infrastructure of the college is also very good and recently NAAC also rated the college as A++.
 

Academics Rating
I chose ECE over other branch in this college because it is a good branch and I will be able to go for both hardware and software domains. In this college the students in CE and ICT branches are around 500-600 and much more as compared to that in core branches where no. of students are less. Every year registration form of the college comes out and according to our JEE score card, we get branch. There are two exams every semester that is mid- term and end term. The academic study is good.
The fee per semester is around Rs.1.50 lakh and yearly fee of hostel plus mess fees is Rs.1.55 lakh. You have to pay the tuition fee semester wise. There are scholarships for students who top in class and students whose family income is less than Rs.6.00 lakh per annum.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are nice and their teaching skills are also good. Mostly the professors are Post Graduates from well known IIT colleges. The method of teaching is mostly through ppt. very few teachers teach on the board. The problem solving abilities are very good of the professors and they help students individually, and if needed if we approach them in cabins. To meet the teachers we have to first write an email then only we can go.
 

Placement Rating
None of the companies come to the college for summer internships which is a negative point.
The placement season every year starts in the 7th semester for students as in final year, semester 8th is internship based and job or major projects, no teaching happens.
Some of the company's that visited this time were – Kraft, Heinz, Reliance, MG Motors, Achieve Academy, Micron, Infenion, etc. The average package being nearly Rs.4.00 to Rs.5.00 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are very good hygienic. Fee is Rs.1.55 lakhs per year for hostel and mess.
Girls and boys hostel are separate. There are hostels outside and inside the campus.
The in time is fixed at 10.00pm.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of college is very good there is greenery everywhere. There are many blocks in the college like A, B, C, D, E and F in which classes and labs are scheduled separately. The campus is spread on nearly 100 acres. The locality is nice in Rysan. The facilities are great. Libraries are huge and are in F block, A block and in D block. Sports events are scheduled every year. My favourite thing is basketball ground it is very good.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus is huge and great.
College crowd is large as students are too many in every branch mainly CE and ICT branch.
There are many clubs and committees in the college like SNT, SNC, Sports, Grow, Coding Club, etc.
Yes I was part of many clubs like alchemy which is a science club.
There are two fests, technical and cultural, which are organised every year.
And sports fests are also there like fresher cup

  • PDEU is an expensive Univeristy but is worth one.

    Pandit deendayal energy University Gandhinagar is a very good but it is also very expensive. Here the faculty student ratio is very less like one is to eighty. Surroundings of this college a very good and they have made benches and tables focident to set outside the campus.... Read Full Review
