Oriental Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) has Excellent Academics

Overall Rating
Our institute works like an institute with quality education as we get almost every single facility, exposure and everything which can make our lives much easier as students. So, our institute is an event in itself and overall I am also happy with my institute life at Oriental Institute of Science and Technology.
 

Academics Rating
Indeed the best rated part of our institute is academics. We have special workshops, labs and also best people are invited to take those workshops. Honestly, I never thought that something like this is even possible at an institute in Bhopal. Oriental Institute of Science and Technology has not just made it possible but has done it with flying colors. Academics of our institute have indeed ascended to a different plane as strict attendance, mandatory workshops and labs have made students here knowledgeable and smarter.
If it isn't expensive it's not worth it, if this is true then OIST is definitely not for them as Rs. 60, 000 is the fee and still worth it, is all I can say.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of Oriental Institute of Science and Technology are amazing and are good at teaching. Of course the syllabus is so lengthy that effectively a three and a half month is not enough to get done with the entire syllabus but our faculties do it even by facilitating extra classes for doubt solving classes.
 

Placement Rating
I can vouch for my branch as CS students are more or less guaranteed jobs from campus itself.
 

Hostel Rating
Both boys and girls hostels are inside the campus and that's the best part.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There's nothing that our institute don't have and especially the left wing of the campus where the central library is located. Forget about the numbers of books and journals but the peaceful environment that it provides is also good. Secondly, the Student Activity Centre has everything from gymnasium to auditorium and indoor sports room along with lockers for students. Last but not the least our labs too deserve to be a part of discussion as an amazing net speed and best set of PCs makes it best place to learn.
 

Campus Rating
Every year we have tech fest and names are changed as per the themes. Every year a starry night or an eventful night is organized and singers are called upon to light up the entire institute. Student interaction makes student life most happening and our institute has really knowledgeable and kind hearted students as seniors would always step up when we need help and classmates as well. So, my campus life is sorted as I have made some amazing friends and I hangout with them on and off campus as well.

    The campus of college is not such big but it is of average size. The experience in the Institute till now is just ok. We have to hustle for 75% attendance in the college and write many assignments on daily basis.     Overall this institute is not for someone who has an expectation of all fun and enjoyment in college, you can get good academics and opportunities, but they are really strict with their curriculum and management. This institute is well reputed in our city that is Bhopal and is also well recognised among some major companies.   • OIST Bhopal Placement Success in the IT Sector

    I looked at all the career options and institutes during the breaks of 12th. I guess I was late and therefore couldn't apply for the entrance exams to get into tier 1 institute. I agree that Oriental Institute of Science and Technology is a tier-2 institute but in two tiers, it is perhaps one of the best.     While going to institute like shifting gears from school to institute we have many questions. In my life that answer came in the form of Oriental Institute of Science and Technology as leaving school friends wasn't easy. I have found even better friends in the institute. At first I used to think that will engineering be tougher and will take a lot out of me.
