SXC Ranchi: Fees Structure and Scholarships

St. Xavier's College, Ranchi is a prestigious college known for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development. Like to be honest, my experience in this college is very good because of the infrastructure, discipline and the faculties. You should definitely choose this college if you want to be perfect in every field. In other colleges they offer limited things but in this college they offer many thing that help in growth. There are many clubs and societies that build your personality.

So I am pursuing B.Com (Accounts) in St. Xavier's College, Ranchi. My aim was to become a CA so I choose B.Com in this college because some syllabus of both courses was similar. For admission in B.Com (Accounts), there is an entrance exam and you have to clear 12th with any stream with minimum 50%. So there are 4 exams in each year, 2 mid semester exams and 2 end semester’s exam. The college really prepared us for our future challenges.

The fees of B.Com (Accounts) in St. Xavier's College, Ranchi is very affordable. When I got admission, the fees were Rs. 33,650 but from 2024 fees increased to Rs. 42,900. For Reserved Category there is some discount. The Jharkhand government also offers scholarship for reserved categories (OBC / ST / SC) through Ekalyan. Reserved Category students can get up to Rs. 40,000 in this course.

The faculties in St. Xavier's College, Ranchi and in B.Com department are so experienced and friendly. Like every faculty here came from higher studies like some of them did CA, CS, LLB, and MBA. In our college in every classroom there is a smart board and blackboard and like every weeks there are a presentation present by students that is given by our faculty. Our faculty always says you can visit me anytime in college hours for any doubts related to lectures. There are many faculties I mean if you talking about numbers so it's like approx 200+. So talking about bonding with faculties it's depends in you, as I am talking about mine that is very good that they allow me to clear my doubts in any time even in non college hours.

Yes, there is placement for B.Com (Accounts) in St. Xavier's College Ranchi. Like not all students got placed but in percentage like 20-30% got placed with average package of 2.5 LPA. Many of students go for higher studies. From the date I get admitted I saw many companies visiting the campus to offer placement some of them are TCS, Accenture, Cognizant and many more.

Yes, St. Xavier's College, Ranchi has hostel facilities. There are 3 hostels in our college A, B and C block. Every hostel has their own mess. Hostels are only for boys. The fees are very minimum. The rule of hostel is very strict like after 10pm no hostel student is allowed to go out.

Infrastructure of St. Xavier's College, Ranchi is quiet good, I mean campus is not very huge but one can get everything for fun in campus like there are 2,3 shades for chilling, 3 cafeteria and 2 basketball grounds, 3 big grounds for cricket and football. The college also has 2 Auditorium and many labs in each department. 1 Central library which has many books and many small libraries for each department. 3 parking are also available for students and for faculties there are different parking lots.

Personally my overall campus life is above the expectations as college offers many things in these 12 acres of lands. College crowd is quite huge as this college known for its academic excellence in east. This college offers many clubs like NCC, NSS, Rotaract, Finova, and Team Shakti for Drama, Science Club, Eco Club and many more clubs. There are many fests and events that are organised in the college in like every week but among all of these Xavier Utsav that was annual fest which was organised every year, but since 2020 this fest not happened till now.
