Fee Structure and Financial Aids at St Paul's Cathedral Mission College

Experience was overall good. The teachers are hardworking and supportive. They are up for helping you at any given point. They connect with the students over calls and messages as well. The overall experience at St Paul's Cathedral Mission College was good. The environment of the economics department was pleasant and was quite motivational. Maintenance of the building and surroundings are done profoundly. The Knowledge of the teaching staff is immense and admirable. The campus is one of the largest under Calcutta University.

Choosing Economics was no easy task. Being an average student nobody promoted me to pursue Economics. Yet after passing out my 12th with commerce no subject attracted me more than economics. The realism and the depth of the subject drove me to take the risk of not backing out from choosing it. Obviously for me to choose B.Sc Economics under Calcutta University you have to have Math as one of your subjects in 11th and 12th with a minimum of 50% marks. The admission procedure is easy online form submission procedure. The frequency of exams is just that of a semester exams. They will teach you the building blocks of Economics and the subject itself will prepare you for the real life scenario.

As the intuition is undertaken by the government the fees our hardly Rs. 5,000-Rs. 6,000 per semester. Financial aids include all governmental scholarships.

There are four teaching staff teaching you the core economics and according to the preference of your general studies the professors differs. From my experience the each and every teaching staff at St Paul's Cathedral Mission College is well acquainted with the knowledge of economics. There is a constant assessment of your knowledge. The staffs will be in contact with you 24x7 and would help at any given point. While solving problems at home or while self study I used to call up my professors and they used to help me out at that given point or as soon as they could. Even after graduating the help I have got from them has been unmatched.

As the institution is being governmental and is just for B.Sc the institution doesn't promise any placement or internships.

There is no hostel provided by St Paul's Cathedral Mission College.

The infrastructure is not as modern as the private institution but they won't make you feel like you lack any amenities. A white board has been provided with a black board. The staff uses all the amenities to provide you with the best. The surroundings of St Paul's Cathedral Mission College are being cleaned every day. They maintain a very green environment with taking care of the gardens and grounds and maintaining that. The classes are being cleaned every day.

As the economics building is the only building detached to the main building a lot of times the connection with the other departments lag. But with the help of the clubs, the common rooms and activities such as fest, games, sports. Everybody connects and builds a strong bond. The crowd of people present in the college can be considered educated and enlightening bunch of people. I haven't been to any clubs but I would definitely encourage people to join as it increases your connectivity with people. There is a special NGO ran by the institution for the unprivileged kids called RODDUR. Thus helping a lot of kids. The fests are generally quite big and bring in lot of crowds as they bring in big artists as well.
